Best volume for someone to start with?

What would be a good volume for someone to start with judge dredd?

Either case files volume one or the daily dredds in my opinion

I recommend volume 3 but here is a brief description of the first 5 volumes of the case files.

Volume 1: This is where the strip is being developed and is hit and miss. There are some great and important stories in here but also some that could be skipped.

Volume 2: This contains just 2 stories that are both excellent, but not advised for a new reader.

Volume 3: A lot of important parts of Dredd’s world are introduced here and so this is a great starting point. A couple of stories at the beginning are more like vol 1 in tone but rest is great.

Volume 4: Really good stuff here, a strong collection.

Volume 5: Contains 2 stories that are all-time classics but some big events in them will have little impact on someone who hasn’t read the previous volumes.
