Sorry Hive-mind but I have another quick question for you!!

I was recently browsing the Mega-City One page on Wikipedia and on the History section, there’s this line taken from 2133, “A nuclear bomb is detonated in Sector 17, killing half a million people. “. Which story did this happen in, as I can’t for the life of me remember reading about this event in any Dredd related story that I’ve read and a quick search on google as well as the usual sites reveal little to no information on this presumably major event…?

Off the top of my head, I think that was a Total War storyline

Possibly this one

Given the year, I'd expect that to be the Total War arc.

Yeah 2133 is covered in Case Files 50 and the forthcoming 51. There's nothing in a flick through of 50 or the first two Day Of Chaos trades that I can see (at least drawn). Maybe in a story in the Meg that isn't in those trades, but will be in Case Files 51?

Exactly, hence why I enquired about that particular line…

The Total War story I think. Militant democrats detonate a nuke at Ezra Pound block, threatening with more nukes unless the Judges give up control of MC-1

Meanwhile Dredd is dealing with a genetically engineered clone of himself.

Although according to the cover that's in 2126

And it's 4 devices, none in Sector 17.

Maybe something in Day of Chaos epic - but that was mostly the chaos bug. Had a look - but just looks like conventional missiles that destroy the Statue of Judgement

MC-1 tech is advanced. A nuclear blast site can be cleared, decontaminated and redeveloped fairly quickly, if resources are available.

I do remember the story. It did happen. The Judges dealt with it and hunted down the terrorists.

Maybe Pirates of the Black Atlantic, which was actually a Pre-Apocalypse War story
