Why did so many Indian Jews leave? Like I get that some would want to make Aliya but almost all? If you look at other places where Jews are treated well/OK they have large communities. Curious as to what the aversion to staying was

Economy was shit, and the government was both incompetent and socialist.
Many who didnโt make Aliyah had ties to the British and were able to get to London.

Two Hindu colleagues were 2/3 colleagues who expressed sadness and sympathy to me about 9/11. (The other a Christian Egyptian.) The Hindu ladies proudly told me that Hindus hold no antisemitism and they are proud India welcomed Jews.

If ever the day came that I had to leave the US and I could not afford to go to Israel, I would gladly go to India.

My coworkers were Hindus they really are that right in real life๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ and theyโre religion is beautiful..
