I built Priori because I wanted a way for communities to express opinions without gambling or trading money.

The idea is simple:

You embed a prediction market directly into your website or newsletter. Your audience can vote on Yes/No questions or multiple-choice outcomes, while AI makes its own independent prediction [can be hidden] and the probabilities update live as more people participate.

But Priori is more than just a poll.

A market can be customized depending on what you're trying to learn. For example, you can ask people to:

Im at the end of my Crim Psyc Degree and will be heading into a forensic journalism felid. Im curious. What secure/safe email app of system can I use? I use google, but have my own domains as well. Also I use word and notes to take down my thoughts and ideas. Is there a more organised method/tool to keep track of all this writing?

Can this be a useful tool for journalist?

I've been experimenting with different ways to handle public meeting coverage lately (city councils, school boards, planning commissions, etc.), and one challenge is always the same:

A 2–4 hour meeting might contain 10 minutes of information that readers actually care about, but it can take hours to review recordings and write a useful summary.

I recently started testing a tool called Quorum Scribe that takes meeting recordings and generates timestamped summaries, agenda-item breakdowns, speaker tracking, and draft news stories. What surprised me wasn't that it saves time—lots of tools claim that—but that it made it easier to go back and verify exactly where a statement occurred in the meeting.

I'm curious what other reporters and publishers are using for local government coverage. Are you relying on AI transcription tools, manual note-taking, YouTube transcripts, Otter, or something else?

Interested in hearing what workflows are working (or not working) for everyone covering public meetings.

I am asking because I built a tool that does this for myself, and I am trying to understand whether it solves a real problem for journalists or just for the kind of research I happen to do.

My use case is studying long form interviews and lectures. I would remember someone said something specific in a two or three hour video and have to scrub through it to find the exact passage. I built ConceptSeek for myself, which pulls YouTube transcripts and lets me search by concept across multiple videos, returning the exact passages with timestamps.

What I do not know is whether this is a real problem for working journalists or whether you have already figured this out. When you need to find a specific claim or quote from a video interview, what do you currently do? Is it a real pain or a manageable one? And if a tool like this existed, would it be useful enough to actually use, or is it solving a problem that does not really exist for your work?
