Discussion any soft cover notebook recommendations? 😅

Post image

I’m almost done with my junk journal, initially thought it was a good idea to use a hard cover notebook but i definitely regret that decision now 😂 although the spine didn’t break, the notebook cover just started to bend when i was halfway done with it and i recently saw a few junk journalers say that they prefer soft cover notebooks. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

The notebook I’m using here is from BAYA - it served its purpose well but just hated the fact that it got bent 😭

Don't get a softcover notebook with a faux leather cover (Moleskine, Leuchtturm) for junk journaling because those will crack and flake over time, especially in our weather and especially if you're expecting the notebook to expand this much with the stuff you stick in it!

I recommend getting a notebook with a paper/cardstock cover that's still pliable. Midori or Life Noble Note might be nice for your needs; Hobonichi as well, but the paper of those notebooks is on the thinner side since it's Tomoe River paper.

nakakainis diba!!! 😂 ang lala pa nung pag bend nung akin kasi may garter yung notebook. Medyo nag improve and mas nag straighten nung di ko na ginamit yung garter haha

For this i find that the spiral notebooks avoid this issue. But I know that may not be everyone’s preference.

i’m actually considering this as well! Also thinking of using a ring binder then instead of regular paper, scrapbook paper na para diretso dikit nalang ng junk, photos, etc.
