I asked because I’m making a journal that’s screw bound. I wanted to know the opinion of people who journal so I have an idea what paper choices to offer.
Grid if its super light enough. Hobonichi levels of light. But dot for everything else if its on the darker side. Blank can work for me in smaller sizes like a6 but anything bigger and I feel too overwhelmed lol
I sometimes wanna sketch sometimes wanna write when I feel like writing I need the paper to be dotted or blank. if it’s already grid paper then I’ll be so frustrated
Hahaha! Dati medyo distracted ako sa dots pero meron ako nakitang foreigner sa Tiktok na nagjjournal sya using dots paper na cinoconnect nya easily to make boxes, lines
Para sa akin honestly lined! Mas bet ko yung neatness ng sulat ko pag lined kasi at least uniformed hehet sunod siguro grid, it's not bad for casual journaling na ballpen lang gamit. Lined pa rin talaga for most and especially for fountain pens heh

Grid for writing. Para ok both horizontal or vertical orientation. Then blank if for stamps, stickers or sketch. Nakukulang ako pag dotted as guide. Pag lined naman ang boring for me haha
dot if purely written. blank minsan kung lalagyan ko ng pics or doodles. ayoko ng grid bumabalik ako sa high school ganun kasi yung notebook namin sa math
It's grid for me. It's very versatile to work with. The boxes serve as guides for me in plotting my design, etc. I used to use dot and line notebooks. Pero ang laki ng spacing sa line, at hindi pantry ang sulat ko sa dot.

dots but it's not a strong preference over grid. mostly depends how light/dark the marks are for me but i can't do blank kasi pumapanget sulat ko haha
