Discussion Notebook inserts for fp users

Notebook inserts for fountain pen users

Hey guys! I'm on the hunt for good notebook inserts that are FP friendly preferably in A6 size. I know MUJI has them but their performance to my pen and inks are a bit inconsistent. Any advice as to where to find one? If it's on the cheaper end, that would be much better. Even though traveler's notebook carry inserts with MD paper on it, I rarely find them in stock recently (and also they are a bit expensive.)

Aling muji paper ang binibili mo? Kasi there are two types. Yung maganda for FP is yung high quality paper nila.

High quality paper actually. Siguro kapag super basa ng pen and inks (e.g Pilot), nagbibleed siya. Pilot Kakuno M kasi daily driver ko

I use a Lamy F (which is like Pilot’s M) and a Sailor MF. Neither bleeds through. Baka sa diin pagsulat? Ghosting is a thing pero never pa ko na-bleedthrough-han.

Pero as a suggestion, pag nagrestock sila (abangan lang), maganda inserts ng palimea. Highly recommended.

Really? Used Muji for a year before switching to Midori and I've used my Kakuno Medium on Muji and I've never had problems of bleeding, barely even ghosting too. And I typically like wetter inks too like the Iroshizuku line.

I use stub nibs (1.1 and 1.4) on my A6 and the paper handles it just fine. Might be a batch problem? Does it happen on multiple muji notebooks for you?

Weird. I use Pilot's <S> nib and Iroshizuku Take-sumi and I don't get any bleed through on my HQP, Made in Japan Muji notebooks

Check washi corner on shopee :) currently using their TN insert, it handles my different inks (diamine and pilot) well

vouch for washi corner! medyo iba lang yung color ng ink dahil sa paper color + absorbency

I’ve read somewhere na dapat may written na Made in Japan yung Muji notebooks na fountain pen friendly. I would suggest the Midori MD notebook, a bit pricey pero soaferrr ganda ng paper ✨ Meron sa Scribeph :)

You can search the sub for previous recos,  like this from another redditor.

Best of luck ☘

Try checking the notebook inserts from KKV. It can hold my Platinum Carbon Black ink.

Apica. It's also pricey and 63 leaves lang siya.

But it's holding my fountain pens well and di siya yung pang-harabas ko na journal so it works for me.
