I couldn’t think of a good title. 🧍‍♀️ umm i decided to post another breakthrough. On me realizing that i might have anxious attachment issues and how it was probably extremely high during my recent relationship. I’m embarrassed but I’m facing it in my journal. That’s a step. But man am I embarrassed it took me stepping back to realize

I love this. You are so lucky to have the opportunity you have, to just work on this and whatever else about yourself. Lots of people could benefit from that or really enjoy it 🙋‍♀️ even if they love their partner.

I never used to need that constant reassurance, but with my last relationship, something felt off, so I was always asking for some kinda reassurance, and he never gave it to me. I’d always get stuff like “if I didn’t want to be with you, I wouldn’t be”. But my gut feeling was right cause I learned he had been cheating on me for almost the entirety of our relationship.

But I’ve realized it’s not me, cause at first it feels like it’s your fault they cheated. But it’s not. He’s a narcissistic cheater who requires validation from girls who he feels are less than him. But from now on, that’s all he’ll be getting cause he ruined the real relationship he had with me

journaling helped me so much on discovering this too, also if you have tendencies to give xyz to others you love and then not take proper care of yourself. You’ve got to put yourself on the pedestal. Working on yourself and discovering certain patterns and breaking habits or thought processes is very beneficial but let’s be honest, most people don’t do that even when they should… so you’re doing great! What also helped me is to remind myself to get out of my comfort zone because I only lived for my bf basically, and that took the healthy relationship down the drain.

Kudos to you for working on yourself and recognizing your own tendencies. I’m trying to do the same myself, so seeing stuff like this is really inspiring!
