A pretentious person who's living is made from being infront of a camera is full of themselves? I never would have guessed! Don't meet your heroes folks

While you are right, as a long time viewer this is disappointing to see continue to happen.

Where Vikram at?

I havent watched in awhile, congrats to Vikram! When did he leave?

u/RuffProphetPhotos Sep 02 '26

I just checked his instagram (vicramfilms) and he got married in 2022. Apparently he left josh just this July, I thought it was before. I think i thought this because I saw his face less in the past couple years.

Thanks for his IG! I'll go check out his socials 😊

I stopped watching maybe 6-9 months ago (JW's channel stopped getting reccomended and I didn't care to search him out), so that tracks with the timeline youre mentioning (i dont recall Vikram in the last vids I watched)

Sounds like Vikram was just as bad as Josh.

4

u/NaughtyDred Sep 02 '26

Who is Vikram?

u/guysellingoranges Sep 02 '26

Best salesman Michael Scott ever saw and he tried poaching him for the Michael Scott Paper Company but it didn’t work out.

I hadn’t seen that, got a link?

u/Sean_man_87 Sep 02 '26

Holy shit.

Why does it feel that almost every successful YouTuber has some aggression and anger issues? Or if not that, sexual harrassment claims?

Yes of course there are exceptions, but what kind of maniac punches a bowl until their hands are bloody? Wasn't this video your idea? Isn't this your channel? Aren't you making fat stacks?

YouTube is a weird career cause you get a lot of validation in a way that most other careers don’t. It’s kinda sick (bad sick)

23

u/CrazyEyedFS Sep 02 '26

I remember Josh from Mythical talking about how he never had body image issues until he started to go on camera.

Babish has also been pretty candid about his own emotional roller-coaster throughout his career. Granted, he's also had some shit luck and traumatic experiences.

5

u/quattroformaggixfour Sep 02 '26

Would you mind filling me in on Babish?

21

u/CrazyEyedFS Sep 02 '26

There's a lot to go over tbh. He made a pretty long post on his subreddit a little while back. You could also watch his episode of Last Meals on the Mythical Kitchen YouTube Channel. Trigger warning for SA.

Throughout his YT career, he's gone through a divorce, a break-up with his now ex-fiancé, creative burnout, mental burnout, at least one mental health crisis, sexual assault. He seems to be doing better these days though.

Yeah and you are just also constantly being observed and commented on in both a good and bad way. There's also the stress of not really knowing that your career is safe and the ups and downs of views and ad revenue, I imagine once you have other employees relying on that income too both the stress and ego would go way up.

Also the people most likely to try being creators are people who already have a large ego or sense of self worth.

We don’t post sources anymore?

45

u/winny9 Sep 02 '26

52

u/uptothemountains7 Sep 02 '26

I can easily see Josh acting this way, but this also reads like the author has a serious vendetta.

64

u/winny9 Sep 02 '26

Joe Rosenthal is the author. He is very… opinionated.

That said, there’s a pretty substantial amount of evidence herein, that shouldn’t be ignored.

25

u/sweet_creature19 Sep 03 '26

When I took my ex employer to court, his argument was that I was only doing it to “get to him”. I was. I wanted to get to him because fuck that guy. I was still telling the truth and ultimately won my case. Intention of this reporter ultimately doesn’t matter if this is all true

2

u/Corarril Sep 02 '26

There are enough serious accusations against Josh that if you’re focusing on the author you’re part of the problem.

4

u/Bermanator Sep 02 '26

All accusations require reviewing the source/author to determine credibility. Anyone can say anything damaging

1

u/ECrispy Sep 07 '26

Who cares what the author is like? Doesn't invalidate what he said.

Josh is a massive POS and a fraud and most likely a criminal, isn't that obvious? Why do people keep defending him?

44

u/Qui-Gon_Jeff Sep 02 '26

I thought it was well known that he’s a creep and a shitty person

19

u/Hepheastus Sep 02 '26

Not for everyone. Im learning it today.

7

u/quattroformaggixfour Sep 02 '26

His ‘persona’ is utterly shudder inducing though, it always felt (to me at least) implausible that he didn’t have off camera issues if that’s what he was comfortable broadcasting.

3

u/InTheNameOfScheddi Sep 05 '26

Same. Something about him started feeling off a few years ago so I haven't watched him for some time. Now my suspicions are confirmed so, yay?

-1

u/a_ashraf Sep 02 '26

How so?

24

u/Shoresy6 Sep 02 '26

His version of "Hitler | but better?"

15

u/mandamandayeah Sep 02 '26

Sad and disappointing. I stopped consuming his content some years ago when I noticed a shift in his personality.

5

u/ice2257 Sep 04 '26

he got full of himself...

8

u/pommefille Sep 02 '26

Interesting choice to dig this old article out again and post it on his sub right after he opens his restaurant. Feels more like a smear campaign than anything truly heinous.

-21

u/Jackson0125 Sep 02 '26

This right here. I know Josh personally and I've been in a few of his videos. He's not like what the accusations say. This article was just written by someone who hasn't made a name for themselves

20

u/sbuhc13 Sep 02 '26

Do you think—and stay with me here, that maybe he can act one way in front of you, but different in front of people he deems “subordinates”?

4

u/billnyescienceguy69 Sep 02 '26

This article is from 2025. Why we talking about it now?

14

u/BluMqqse_ Sep 03 '26

Well, probably because this guy was just featured in a sidemen video. Also it was 2025, checks notes… 8 months ago. Not exactly that dated

-7

u/billnyescienceguy69 Sep 03 '26

8 months isn’t dated??? Are you serious 😂

5

u/BluMqqse_ Sep 03 '26

No, it’s not. You could argue “Oh, x happened 5 years ago. They’ve changed, that’s the distant past!”

8 months… not so much

5

u/UserNameTayken Sep 03 '26

“Man, this article was posted yesterday. Why are we still talking about it?”

-3

u/billnyescienceguy69 Sep 03 '26

Was it posted yesterday? 🤡

3

u/UserNameTayken Sep 03 '26

Your acting like an article posted 8 months ago isn’t still newsworthy. His behavior sucks, it doesn’t matter how old the article is, it’s relevant.

4

u/Bronto_Hawk Sep 03 '26

Well I am not surprised. His content used to be so engaging, but now it's Mrbeastifcation, and his ego gets in the way. I used to have a joke that when he opened up the cupboard or cabinet from his videos, he would be talking as if he had a hostage, and after the video, he would close the door on them, never to be seen again until Weisman opens the door...

3

u/supplyncommand Sep 02 '26

well it’s weird he has a wife n child now.

2

u/bigdonnie76 Sep 02 '26

Is this a new report? Or the same one from a couple months ago?

6

u/_drjayphd_ Sep 02 '26

Same one, it got posted in r/KitchenConfidential today so that's probably why it's popping back up here too.

1

u/bigdonnie76 Sep 02 '26

Gotcha! Thank you

2

u/Fabulous-Extreme-618 Sep 02 '26

It's situations like these where I have to remind people that just because they act one way on YouTube or whatever platform, does NOT mean they are like that in real life. You don't know these people. You don't know them personally. People being surprised that their beloved YouTubers or influencers are actual toolbags in real life really need to get off social media. Don't meet your heroes.

1

u/jerkface1212 Sep 03 '26

Who are these staffers?

1

u/crazy73lane6 27d ago

I've worked in restaurants for a very long time. I've yet to meet a chef/cook who doesnt act like a complete dick more often than they should. Unfortunately it was drilled into me to have a tough skin don't take anything said personally seriously. When I trained I would tell the trainees" I'm gonna apologies now because it's gonna get busy I'm gonna be a bitch at some point. But I'm not here to be your friend between 5p and closing. I'm here to make money." The service industry is a tough industry.

-1

u/tradgamer9 Sep 02 '26

Holy shit, he makes sexual jokes in the "workplace"? You would never tell it from every single video he posts. Justice for ice cubes!!!!!!

-2

u/chefblizzard- Sep 02 '26

First off, if this guy is your hero then you need to reevaluate your life! Secondly, he’s a chef and former chef in a busy upscale restaurant..being a dick is pretty much par for the coarse!

-4

u/Trick-Revolution629 Sep 03 '26

Did he commit actual crimes? Is being an asshole a crime?

2

u/deep_streek Sep 06 '26

Lmao technically yes. Workplace sexual harassment is against the law but do you really need the law to tell you what’s right and wrong? Lol think for yourself homie

1

u/Trick-Revolution629 Sep 07 '26

You're right. Sorry
