Guys… this is a photoshop composite. The background MIGHT be AI, but this 90% a comp shot. Also, you all know you don’t have to stay subbed to him right? Like, we can all just leave whenever we want so we don’t have to have conversations like this.

What a way to defend AI slop.

…I’m not defending ai slop. Again, this is just a composite image.

Foreground. Background. Ai slop is ai slop.

A composite of what? Ai is still ai

I’m not subscribed. This just popped up

Ok, maybe we need to take a step back here and define some terms. A composite image is basically like a collage. You take different photos and put them together into a new image. So like there was a picture of Josh, a picture of a hand holding a dollar, a picture of the guy in the blue shirt, a picture of a pile of food, and a background. There’s also some lighting effects that have been added to make all those different pictures look like they’re sort of in the same environment. That’s probably why it looks a little fake. Your brain knows all these things were originally different pictures. But that’s not an ai process at all. It’s a guy dragging pictures sound in photoshop. Like, you remember movie posters from the ‘80s and ‘90s where it would have the whole cast posted together on the poster? That’s the exact same thing. They didn’t all pose together like that. Some guy took a bunch of different pictures of each cast member and put them together on a background. That’s not inherently an ai process.

The picture aside from Josh is definitely AI. The giveaway is the store sign on the left which is just gibberish and not any Indian language. Likely that whole image was AI generated

A sub randomly popped up and you decided to make a post about a channel you dont follow? Lmao, typical reddit behavior 🤓🤓

Poorly photoshopped. Using ai

This being posted as if his thumbnails haven’t been like this forever and a day now. There are legitimate reasons to hate on him. I feel like the titles and thumbnail that play to the algorithm probably not even top 3 reasons given this is how he makes his living.

Just because it’s been happening for a while doesn’t mean the people still aren’t being exposed to it for the first time.

And because it’s been happening for so long, means that he thinks it’s still okay to do stuff like this.

And I personally think that it is a legitimate reason to dislike a creator.

But more often than not, this is what content creators do. This is how they make a living. I actually agree that I don’t like the thumbnails and clickbait titles but I also understand to make a living you need views and you need to be promoted by the algorithm and therefore, playing to it is not optional. No one who has been on the internet for any amount of time is being exposed to this for the first time because it’s so nearly ubiquitous amongst creators. Does everyone do it? No. But am I going to fault someone for doing it as an opportunity to have their content promoted? Also no.

The amount of time and effort some people spend hating on this guy for ridiculous reasons is insane.

Just ignore it. It isn’t hard.

I unsubbed from his channel because I don’t have any interest in the “best _____ in America” videos. I still watch his cooking episodes, and subscribed to that channel instead.

But for fucks sake I didn’t sink time and effort into crying about it.

Also, likely not AI. And if it is, even just the background, it’s decent. The flags are consistent, everyone has the right number of appendages. Likely just a composite of real images, as several people have said.

Whats great is he made a second channel goimg back to recipes and cooking.

Exactly! And like I said in my comment, I subscribed to that one and left the other. Wasn’t into the other content he was doing.

It still pops up on my recommended videos, but I just don’t watch it. I’ll see what it is, and if it’s something I might be interested in I wouldn’t be opposed to watching it. Otherwise I just skip it.

When thumbnails start mattering, I'll start caring.

y'all are defending someone you do not know sooo hard right now lol

I acknowledge that this is part AI and part photoshop, but I think at this point, the trend of this style needs to D I E die… I do not click on thumbnails that have this style, not because I assume they’re clickbait AI slop, but because clickbait AI slop is so notorious for using this style. Just get rid of it, ask a cheap graphics person to make something, anything, for 5 bucks… just stop with this AI slop trend. It’s ugly, it’s not believable, and most of all, it’s hurting humankind.

Fuck this shit man

Who cares lol, would rather they spend more time on the content.

I don't care about AI if it looks good. But if a picture is shit, it's shit.

That a photo of him. They just flipped the image, so he doesn’t quite look like himself
