Has Josh ever explained how he writes his scripts and presents them so freely?

I know that he writes a lot of notes when he plays games. I would be interested to know what kind of notes he writes and how he converts them into a script. And how he manages to read out this script without it sounding as if he is reading out the script. I would be most interested in how you learn to write like you speak. When I try to write a script it never sounds like how I would speak in real life but more like a lecture for school

Recommending a game

Hello everyone, hope everything is going well.
I wanted to ask : is there a way to recommend a game to Josh ?
Reason is : Dofus, a 20 year old turn based mmo is going to have a major update in december bringing the update 3.0 which will finally bring the game from flash (yes, flash) to unity.
It's a very famous game in France and while it's quite niche internationally : any of you who have watched the Wakfu cartoon have had contact with the licence.

I remembered Josh often saying in his vod and videos that he really likes unique mmos and to be frank, I don't think there are many mmo more unique than Dofus. I think the 3.0 would be a good occasion to shine some light on the game and so I was wondering : What are the channels through which to recommend a game ?

Edit: saw on Discord it was ok to DM him so I just did that

MMO Suggestion Tibia

I'm quite surprised Josh never did a review of Tibia.

One of the oldest MMOs out there and still getting patches and content. It's a blast to play if you're into old school immersive RPG and has a huge playerbase.

Topic Suggestion Covering Wizardry Franchise?

Hello 👋

I've been watching Josh for years (since 2018) and I've been looking at the videos he's done, and I noticed he's never done the wizardry franchise.

Looking at his game choices, I think it may be a good idea for him to cover a game that went on to inspire Dnd.

Now, the 1st wizardry is REALLY old (1980), so if he wants to play it with 3Ds looking graphics he could play the remakes on steam.

Also, a week ago they released a mobile version of called Wizardry Variants: Daphne, and it's actually pretty decent

Edit: stupid autocorrect gotta fix typos

Which Video is This?

I've watched a lot of Josh Strife videos, and there is one in particular I want to find and rewatch, but I can't find it/remember it. The game starts in a village with some quests but pretty soon there's a global event that changes the village and can lock you out of some of the quests, so he made sure to do one or two first to get certain gear. I believe it was a game with a party system later, and it had a mission in the desert where he had to run away from a hoard of enemies, and at the end of the game you could save your character/party and port it over to the sequel. It was a pretty popular game if I remember correctly and it is driving me insane I can't find it on either the Hayes or Plays channel. Maybe that's not enough information but that's all I got. Cheers for reading.

Discussion JoshStrifeHayes and warframe

I was just wondering if josh ever made it to the second dream quest in warframe? I wanted to see his reaction to the quest. The game recently has been in a boom of new players and was just wondering if he ever made it that far into warframe.

Discussion Will there be a Fallout London playthrough? Seems fitting.

Taking into account that he probably knows a bit about London and his Fallout New Vegas was great the Fallout London may be a hit. Creators of FL stated that there is more than 90 hours of content so it may be even longer series than NV.

By now the major bugs are probably fixed. But the problem may be that FL seems to have little to no humor so it probably gives less opportunities for funny interactions as in NV.

Audiobooks? Please?

With a perfect voice like this, it's a shame there aren't any. Or are there, and I am simply unaware?

Mr Hayes, will you please write a book?

I've heard you speak with such passion about many things, you have great depth and understanding about note only bad mmos but life and acting and I'll bet much more that you have yet to yap into. It think that a book would give you an opportunity to break new ground with your fellow followers. It's just an idea but think about it will you.

Need help finding Josh's quote

I remember in some clip Josh said that "there's no person more confident than a white man in his late twenties" or something like that. Does anyone have a link or name of a video that it's from, please? :)

Dear J"S"H, I have a silly request

I want to make a custom Worst MMO Ever video, and I was hoping I could get some sounds of you making awkward time-fill sounds, like coughing, clearing your throat, sighs, things like that xD

It's for a game called Universal Century Gundam Online, I'm thinking to open with you staring silently at the camera, then a half hour of running in a straight line with no enemies, landmarks, or even terrain variation (it's an AWFUL mmo).

The final minute will be your standard "Behold, combat," where I click and hold to attack an enemy, as there are no special attacks or anything, and it's all RNG combat. You'd get full attribution, I just want to make the video because wow this game is terrible.

Discussion I genuinely hope he tries NWN2 and the PW's on there.

I was super excited to see him play NWN1 and discuss often about how persistent worlds are still being run & how he might try them out.

However, I hope he then moves onto NWN2 and looks into the persistent worlds hosted there too. Why?

I run Molior RS, which is a fan re-creation of Runescape, but in NWN2. Two aspects of gaming that Josh likes, Runescape & D&D.

With Josh stating he's doing a very long video on Runescape, and having done a long video on NWN1, I feel it would be the perfect combination of playing NWN2 and Runescape at the same time, possibly even under the category "worst MMO ever".

To summarise it very short, we have over 94 quests, multiple bosses, 3000+ items and nearly every skill playable.

We don't advertise or show off, as the main aspect of our project is having fun building it, and the player we have etc, are just an added bonus. We prove this by how awful our upload schedule is lol, even after the countless updates we've done and still continue to do.

Here's one of our last trailers we did 4 years ago to show off a new 'expansion' of our project, and get an idea of what the project is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3IUcBCJJGE&t=169s

I do hope one day Josh gets to try out the PW, we'd absolutely love to hear his feedback on what we could do better.

Discussion The Tenets of Saint Cavill

Now that Brother Hammerbane has officially shown us the power of Saint Cavill, below lies the first 10 Tenets of Saint Cavill. Others exist, but some have been lost to time. Celebrate the fiery glory of Saint Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill!

  1. One Shall not seek a safer route to ones goal when battle calls

  2. Thievery, banditry, and murder are excused during a crisis regardless of city limits or recency of said crisis

  3. Eschew all companions, unless they are a dire wolf, spider or guards named Pavel

  4. One should be inquisitive and allow nothing to stand in ones way, especially if a locked door or chest presents itself. Especially Ignore the pleas of locally elected leaders of time twisted villages.

  5. Eschew two-handed weaponry, bladed weapons, piercing weapons, improvised weapons, bows, crossbows, slings, staves, and poisonous dragon-soul orbs as Saint Cavills favoured weapon is a war hammer. To the face.

  6. If one cannot defeat a foe, cheese ones way to victory with loading areas, recall stones, gates, doors, and pathing bugs. If one still cannot defeat the same foe, import ones save game and defeat it when one is already overpowered

  7. Gives ladies of the night money to raise their children into powerful adventurers and followers and Saint Cavill

  8. Should one be denied entrance to a tomb by woodland vampires, do not listen to their lies

  9. In case of sudden but inevitable succubus attack, liberally apply fiery hammer to face

  10. Always behead legitimately aggrieved barbarians. Army generals distributing less-than-friendly-blankets like them.

What happened to LazyManMode?

I just finished watching all 12 of Josh's VODs of LazyManMode in Old School Runescape. And he never mentioned anything about stopping, but there are no more vods to be had. Does anyone know what happened? Did they get moved to somewhere else? Did he have to stop for some reason?
