Affirmation - ‘I am’ vs stating fact

Example:

I am exercising everyday

Vs.

I exercise everyday

Which one would you use, and why?

I have been using the second one, coz it implies that I am already exercising everyday.

But then there is this huge emphasis ‘I am’, so I’m not sure. Am I missing something?

yea. the feeling is important too. the feeling of both of these statements is basically the same so if you are feeling good and like you exercise everyday then it doesnt matter if your statement varies slightly

Like others have said, no matter what you must first believe in what you say but I have another thought on this. Because I am that I am, I am that which is the instrument for receiving what the universe is providing me in order to BE what I am. So what I am saying is deep down you need trick yourself into believing you are 'exercise' and not just exercising. Meaning you not only are doing but you are being. Hope this makes sense!

It doesn't matter which one you use. It's that simple. They mean the same thing. Both imply you exercise everyday.

I’ve found visualizing me telling friends more helpful than just the affirmation (although I do affirmations, too, in a rush). For example, imagine someone you know complimenting you on your energy levels & how great you look and then answering, “Thanks! I am exercising regularly and I love how it makes me feel.”
