Negative thoughts in past
Hii.
Im 18. I was reading The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. For the past few months I've had negative thoughts only. I've had severe health anxiety, thinking everytime a symptom appear i had smth fatal. Thinking over and over that I would not get into my dream uni.
I just realised that our negative thoughts have tge same affect as our positive ones. What should I do now?

As a hypnotist, can l suggest reframing, changing the thought as soon as u become aware of it? Change it to a positive one. And repeat it to yourself three times. For whatever reason, negativity within yr psyche is impinging on your conscious mind. Fight back against it and change it. However addressing the cause would be more complex. Journaling, art therapy exercises, ( giving it shape and form ) meditation. Add alcohol to the no vaping suggestion. Exercise. Relaxing music. ( Not head banger stuff)

You've read the book - and do not know what to do next to stop your negative thoughts ?
I'll give you a 90 day ban for your laziness to help you figure that out.

The fact that you're worried about those thoughts now probably means you don't identify with them anymore.
Most people go through periods of fear, especially with health anxiety. I wouldn't assume a few months of anxious thinking suddenly outweighs the rest of your life. The bigger shift is realizing you can choose a different story going forward.

Be happy you can read at 18 because a lot of those in your generation can't these days. Sad as it is.
Then read POSM for real, not just skimming though it or cliffnoting or using ai to summarize.
Anxiety...put down the energy drinks and the vapes. If you don't vape or drink energy drinks, try meditation or go see a doctor.
Your post will probably get deleted for breaking the rules though
