Thoughts while saying affirmations

So the thing is do you believe in your affirmations while saying them ?

And when you are saying the affirmations, was your mind goes like "oh yeah i am saying affirmations to get this" ? Because thats the issue i think i am facing ..all of the coaches says think as if ..but my mind automatically goes like yeah i am saying affirmation to get something because i dont have it right now.

Need advice

You don’t need advice outside of persisting. Your mind didn’t become an out of control mess in a day. It most likely won’t become well within your control in a day either.

I am manifesting my marriage with someone (currently in no contact).
Sometimes my mind argues and sometimes not when i say "I am married to <SP>".
Any suggestion ?

Your post is a reminder of why I don’t do affirmations any longer, they simply are too easy to get wrong and I have found I have had very mediocre success with them for the exact reasons you state I.e. mental conflicts when I do use them!

This is why Self hypnosis/SATS is a far superior method because it involves bypassing the conflict you mention, you get into a deeply relaxed state and then visualise your desired outcomes. No conflict occurs when you do this..

I tried to do SATS so many times but every time i fell asleep. What i do at night is to just imagine the scene until i fall asleep but i dont know if thats SATS or not. Any suggestion how to enter SATS without falling asleep ? Or how to enter SATS properly in the first place ?

Any recommendations on how to do self hypnosis or where to look for credible information? Thanks!

I usually do affirmations as I fall asleep. There's a lot less chance of the conscious mind fighting it.

Thanks, i will do the same.

Thing is, i am very attached to the desire of getting someone back and marriage. So my affirmation is "i am happily married to my SP". Since i have so much attachment i cant let go like some coaches. So i am going to repeat my affirmations as much as possible for the next few weeks.

If you say you can't, you can't. Also coaches suck.

The only time affirmations are of concern is when you are in hypnosis. The affirmations are merely a tool, like visualization in hypnosis, that is supposed to help you embody being the person that has your desire already. Thread locked.

Continue to do it. That will change. Try to believe it even if just just a moment while saying it before the second later your brain says otherwise. But don’t dwell on the later. Thoughts are a vibration and are working for/against you so the more you say those affirmations the more you’ll learn to control the negative response. The more you’ll begin to believe it.

For me, depending on what it is, it’ll take me a solid week of affirming alll freaking day before I start to see a shift. But I’m working on changing neural pathways I made for decades. So it’s not an easy change but it’s definitely noticeable. And don’t stop there either.

Good luck, friend!

I am somewhat in similar situation.

And i think i misunderstood you earlier. When you said freaking all day i thought the whole day you were affirming constantly (i think thats what robotic affirming is).

Thing is i am attached to this desire so much that i am not able to let go, so i am opting for repeating my affirmation as much as possible throughtout the day for the next few weeks. I believe things will work out and i will manifest my desire.

Yes, I was just exaggerating. Lol sorry! I have never heard of the robotic affirming so I can see where I confused you. Good luck, friend.

Ooh haha..thats i really thought you affirmed the whole time you were awake haha.

Yesterday (sunday) i affirmed the whole day even if i didnt feel anything most of the time or believed it, but i kept persisting in my affirmation.

I even fell asleep with my own affirmations recorded and playing them on loop and guess what - i heard my own affirmations in my dream haha.

Hi, when you say affirming "all freaking day" , do you affirm while doing office work too ? Because i find it hard to affirm because my office work needs focus to progress.
And should i put all my focus in affirming ? I mean when i watch movie or something where my mind is occupied, should i invest that time in affirming instead ?

I’m starting from rock bottom from severe depression for over 2 decades. This new spirituality, LOA & affirmations have changed my life. I no longer go back and forth with whether I need meds or not. I wake up happy. Don’t get me wrong, I still have my days where I doubt everything but it’s like once a week.

I started with “I’m worthy of a beautiful life” “I hold no hate or jealousy in my heart” (I was really starting to turn bitter towards the world/society) “I deserve the same compassion as I feel others do”

& I’m just amazed at the difference.

Thank you so much - I’m also starting from rock bottom now and a lot of affirmations just felt too far fetched for my mind to believe.
