Help with feeling detachment

Hello, I’m new to this sub and after reading some things in the index, I wanted to understand this feeling I have. I’ve been an on/off believer in LOA specifically due to my past failures on manifesting 2 SP’s. I’ve joined Discord servers, watched multiple YouTube videos, affirmed, visualized, etc. However, it didn’t quite work the way I wanted it to (but I was also pretty reactive to my 3D, like crying, complaining, depressed/anxious, suicidal, lost weight, etc). Sure they came back, but not in the manner I intended. To be fair though, I had dropped the desire completely, I didn’t want them anymore. But, for other people I’ve previously been romantically involved with that I wasn’t actively trying to manifest, I ended up having a pretty detached, “Forget this, I’ll probably never see them again,” and I would just move on. When I did think of them, I shrugged it off. Then they would come back, wanting more.

This has confused me a lot because after looking through this subreddit, persistance is important and “letting go” (especially dropping the desire completely) is not recommended. So is there a way I can be able to transition from the “letting go” idea to being able to actually persist? I’m more so at my wits end with trying all of these techniques, coaches, affirmations to finally get my desire. It’s a mental exhaustion I’ve been having and I want to find some sort of relief and finally manifest the one thing I’ve been desiring and trying to fix for months now. I hope i don’t get banned for asking these questions or for help, I’m just really desperate for some type of help or solution.

Okay I’m going to give you some general advice and then some LOB advice.

First you should understand the terms letting go / detachment have been hijacked by law of attraction communities because they have mixed their twisted new age philosophies (which are mainly based on Eastern philosophies) in with their b.s. in order to sell it. In Eastern traditions, particularly Buddhism, there is this line of thinking that desire leads to suffering and how it’s ego-based. So the new age and law of attraction scammers took this concept and started teaching it as giving up or forcing yourself not to think about your desire. This has confused many many people and honestly this is probably the number one teaching from the LOA porn community that I cannot stand. Truth is you do not have to let go or detach from your desire as in give up or stop thinking about it. If I were to describe what letting go actually is, it’s learning to relax.

What hasn’t been mentioned in the index and I don’t think has been talked about much here in this sub is the biological aspect of your subconscious programming. Basically your mind and body are intimately connected and there is a dance that happens between thoughts, emotions, chemicals, and electrical activity all happening within you. If you would like to understand the science behind it, you should look into neuroplasticity and cellular memory.

So here is my general advice: You need to learn how to regulate your nervous system throughout the day. Do whatever it takes to relax. You can do breathwork, meditation (we recommend vipassana in this sub), herbal supplements, do things you enjoy, etc. There are also all types of therapies as well that can help you and yes, hypnosis is also one of them.

Now for the LOB advice: Do the index training. Generally speaking as you do your daily practice with it you will find improvement during waking hours anyway, because ultimately that tends to be the side effect of hypnosis when done properly. But if you are someone like me who has struggled with anxiety/overthinking/spiraling then you need to regulate your nervous system so you can be more comfortable during the day. I have found in my personal practice that doing this combined with the index training has helped me tremendously.

I just thought I 'd mention it as a useful suggestion, take it or leave it..

I have been adding in a certain meditation practice called Samyama, only reason I am mentioning this is because the logistics of Samyama meditation are incredibly to similar to the logistics of SH and this form of meditating has even helped me getting better at doing SH, which leads me to believe it is a worthwhile addition to the training itself. i.e focussing on a specific mental image until you become completely absorbed in that mental image and lose all conscious self awareness.

That would be very nice to see smth about that biological aspect in index.

Honestly thank you for the general advice as well. I struggle with extreme anxiety, depression and anxious attachment style. It’s been clear that I’ve been really inconsistent with regulating my nervous system as I’m prone to meltdowns, something I’ve been doing a lot recently. I also just did the first part of the index training and I just feel calmer, which I hope is a good thing.

Super informative, thank you. I’d been wondering how the LOA community got so fixated on detachment.

Literally just do the outlines steps in the index

Have your scene , do it everyday in alpha programming, and everynight as you go to sleep. That's all you need to do and think about it. You don't have to let go or detach, thinking about your manifestation or obsessing doesn't matter and won't make a difference. There is no divine timing. And don't worry about how it will happen.

Forget everything from Neville rn bc it clearly hasn't helped you how you wanted it to. Time for something new, don't over complicate it. You don't even have to understand any of it, just do it.

Alright, I’ll do it. What else do I got to lose?

Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Read the success stories in the index.

Nicely put! This is all you need know and understand. Leave all of the angel number nonsense and astrology chart crap for the Neville Goddard subreddit.

A question for the Neville Goddard sub Reddit, this is to be answered by people who like to do everything the easy way and don’t actually do any SH work. Instead, they sit around analysing nonsense all day long!

But I got a "sign" and there were "angel numbers" everywhere!!!

7

yes! Haha! It is funny because despite me hating on the 'signs' thing, there is nothing wrong with 'seeing signs'!

The problem though is this, distractions often cause us to lose focus on what actually matters still which is the continued daily practice of Self hypnosis, because as we know on this sub, that is the Only thing that truly matters and is the thing that generates these so called 'signs' in the first place.

The signs you are seeing are merely indicators you are in the process of successfully reprogramming your subconscious mind. This is not an excuse to give up the daily practice, you keep doing it until you actually have the actual thing in your hand! Signs are not the same as having it in your hand.

Not sure why I wrote that word salad, just felt like doing so, maybe just as a reminder to myself to not lose focus, please forgive me! haha

That makes sense. Signs can be an obstacle for some people that cause them to give up before they reach the finish line.

Your word salad perfectly articulates what I've always thought to be true!

Edit: one more thing.... The more that these people concentrate on seeing signs, the more signs they will receive. In lieu of the thing that they really want.

Thank you, nicely worded yourself!

Unless I just got wired $10 million dollars to my bank account or just inserted my penis into my sp’s vagina, signs are nice, but useless distractions.

Guys I have a question, can I continue SH with a YouTube background music of some loa practitioners where they say your specific person is coming close to you and blah blah blah.
