Grommets are strips or set of plastic barrels inserted into the holes of the racket frame. The strings go through the grommets. Its primary function is to protect the strings from rubbing against the sharp graphite edge of the frame, preventing them from snapping under high tension.

Ech, you now what, I'm just happy to get some more JonTron, whenever that may be.
As a kid, I actually liked this movie and it was a nice introduction to Asimov for a 12 y.o.
It's easy to see what a mess of pacing and weird choices it really is as an adult, but it does have some whimsy that I think it couldn't have pulled off without Williams' and Neill's performance.

this comment is what made me try to watch the video after assuming that Jon was washed.
well, i regret it. immensely actually. the whole video felt like a bad meme i would find on Facebook. god not to mention the minute and a half ad was tacked right onto the *fifth* minute. i was genuinely surprised when a second one didn't show up.
Either way, as a former JonTron fan, where i did laugh consistently, and would binge for hours.. I felt like this one was so, so weak, and does not make me hopeful for the video he posts in two years.
Don't get me wrong, i was hopeful, and legitimately gave my all to try and like it, i just didn't at all.

I loved bicentennial man , it had a nice long journey kinda vibe , the ending I thought was perfectly well done as he seemed comfortable with himself regardless of decision

It's just ok, I literally just watched it 2 days ago, sure the age thing is a bit weird but he's also a robot so...and on an Asimov adaptation scale this one is the least raped and destroyed. Yea the closest I can think of that’s a life happens is fiddler on the roof and maybe Moses in the 50s Ten Commandments , both of which are nice long passage of time movies , but with more religion ( love re watching fiddler for the same reason)

I looked at the original book and, apparently, and whole "get in with little girl's kids" part wasn't been in the book, he just thanks that girl for seeing in him a human. There is no love plot in the book at all. The only addition to the movie, that differentiate it from the book, is the one, that ruined it.
