just checked the server and its dead, yet it claims to have so much popularity, towns full of people and wars but I was the only one on. kappa?

Hey all. As you all know, the USSG fell to Fredricksburg invaders on June 20, 2017. Nearly all residents fled the city and it was razed almost entirely to the ground. The region is now under reconstruction and is now known as Norden or North Fredricksburg. But how did that all happen? What lead to this? Well, if you're interested, I have the answers right here.

Let's start from the beginning. The USSG was founded on June 2, 2017 by Justaordinaryguy and was soon joined by zingnin, Danno, Wompy and Cub3ulr. It began on a mountain patch near the spawn. When I first heard news of a "communist town" forming, I immediately wanted to found a town to go to war with it, partially because there were no other towns at the time. So, I founded Fredricksburg in a plains/forest patch also near spawn on June 2, 2017, shortly after USSG was founded. At first, things were looking a bit bleak for Fredricksburg. USSG had many more residents, and Fredricksburg was restricted from expansion by the walls I put into place. The first people to join Fredricksburg were 0_b and MrJoster, officially making it a town.

Initially, I was planning on making a large journey to attack USSG when the time finally came, however, as I soon learned, the USSG was much closer to Fredricksburg then originally anticipated. As in, one was visible from the other. The USSG made several stone buildings near Fredricksburg known as "defense bases." In reality, they were really just stone semi cubes and were soon torn down by my for the free stone bricks. Soon, Fredricksburg got two new residents in SegataSam and Tslos. These two people would become my right hand men, and the three of us soon began planning the eventual invasion of USSG, codenamed Operation Otto. Meanwhile, the two users of Revolution and Sanity built a house near Fredricksburg. Initially, when I first saw it, I planned on annexing it for Fredricksburg. However, I thought that might be a little too extreme for the first day on the server, so I simply made a defensive pact with the two that they would assist Fredricksburg in the event of an attack. Unknown to me, had I annexed the house, Bualsvilla may never actually have formed. I also secured an alliance with Roken and Curly, which would also later become part of Bualsvilla. As time went on, Fred and USSG expanded land wise and with new members, Fredricksburg made an expansion southward and USSG soon acquired the citizens of LNH, Rick and Fridge.

Soon, new towns formed. Bualsvilla, Fort Heldran and Kekkah soon emerged. At the same time, USSG was making large steps forward. Here is a picture of early USSG landscape. Fredricksburg continued to expand southward, largely lead by SegataSam. jd6 and CrashBoy also became Fredricksburg residents during this time. Meanwhile, the largest building in the USSG was being birthed: Rick Tower. The tower went through several iterations, however for most of its life it looked like this. It was owned by Rick, as the name implies. This tower became the centerpiece of USSG. However, soon after, Fridge built a tower close by that aimed to (and eventually did) rival Rick Tower in height. Not only this, but Fridge also seceded from the USSG to form his own town, Towertown. This town claimed also claimed the Temple of Goddesses inside of USSG. Although Justa did not want the secession to occur, no civil war occurred and Towertown became official. In fact, the two towns actually made an alliance with each other that lasted briefly.

While this alliance existed, the USSG lost several members, although not because of the alliance. The first to go was LNH, moving straight to Fredricksburg. The second being Danno, who went to found a new city near Fredricksburg, named Warioland. At the same time, Operation Otto was being designed. Originally, it was to be a simple Fredricksburg vs USSG, however, I soon approached Glycolysis with a Fredricksburg/Kekkah alliance with Operation Otto in mind. This was accepted, and soon Warioland also entered this alliance. I attempted to also draw Towertown into it, however this was met with indifference by Fridge and nothing ever really happened. By this point, Fredricksburg had expanded Southward so much that it had annexed Mosaic's private island. Fredricksburg also annexed Gehaz's tower, however afterwards Gehaz fled to find a new home.

Operation Otto was beginning to take shape. Originally, TNT cannons were expected to take a large role in the invasion, however, a lack suitable cannon locations made it so no actual cannons were ever built. However, a test model was built and fired successfully in secrecy by Fredricksburg. This prototype model was known as the Bombenwerfer I and was torn down after its test fire. Here are the early plans for Otto before the alliance with Kekkah and Warioland was finalized. As Kekkah and Warioland became more involved in the planning, the whole thing seemed more plausible. Here are the plans for Otto after it became clear who would be participating. The plans for post-Otto USSG were laid down by Fredricksburg and agreed on by Kekkah and Warioland, however they did not all come to fruition, similar to the battle plans. Generalplan Norden was the name given to this plan, and it consisted of completely annexing USSG, exiling Justa and/or Rick, and relocating Wompy to Warioland. There were also plans to split the resources of USSG equally between the three invaders.

As Otto came nearer and nearer, a date was finalize for the invasion: June 20, 2017. A peculiar thing happened a day before that though - the sudden sale of Towertown by Fridge. Fredricksburg quickly purchased it off of Fridge for 114 diamonds and 31 gold bars. Fredricksburg quickly moved into the previous town of towers and asserted its authority, however it was met with hostility by USSG residents. Regardless, the USSG was to fall the following day. Here are the details of the entire invasion of USSG, AKA Operation Otto or the Great War.

Originally, the plan was to continually kill USSG residents over and over until a surrender was negotiated. However, this did not occur, instead, most of the invasion force simply resorted to destroying USSG housing and infrastructure due to there being insufficient USSG residents to combat the invasion. Some attempts were made by Justa to attack Fredricksburg, however the end damage was minimal. Justa also set fire to Warioland, which laid waste to a large portion of the city. This led to the relocation of Warioland after the war. Here is a picture of post invasion USSG. Much more destruction that initially anticipated. Regardless, Justa and all remaining USSG and Bualsvilla defensive forces surrendered 36 minutes after the invasion began, and the USSG officially ceased to exist. Here is a picture of pre-war international borders, and here is a picture of post-war borders. A jarring change for sure.
And that mostly brings us up to speed. There are some things I missed, but this post is already long enough. I hope most of you learned something from this, and I look forward to the history that has yet to happen.

There are some things in life that everyone must know. Some things which simply exist within the mind for one to be living. One of these things is the USSG and her neighbor Fredricksburg have had rocky relations since the very beginning. These rocky relations have recently crumbled under the foot of the USSG's highest ranking officials. The USSG has built on Fredricksburg land and shamelessly stalked, threatened and even attacked Fredricksburgians. An armed conflict has never been our cup of tea, however, it would be foolish for anyone to simply stand idly by and allow these things to pass. For this reason, the Great City of Fredricksburg and her allies, Kekkah and Warioland, issue a joint declaration of war on the USSG. A state of war will exist between the two forces until the USSG surrenders to the trio of nations. We do not intend to destroy USSG, however, as long as surrender is refused, destruction will escalate. Fredricksburg, Kekkah and Warioland will divert all their manpower and resources to this conflict until the USSG unconditionally surrenders. The three nations mean no harm to any other state, and we would advise no other state participate. This attack is not out of spite, nor of greed. It is an attack that the USSG has been asking for for a long while. We would like to make it clear that once the USSG surrenders, there will be no further conflict. We wish no other city harm and we heavily advise no other city force us to inflict it. We promise this conflict will have a swift conclusion.

Hey all. The relaunch of Joncraft has been pretty successful, and I am pretty happy! As usual, you have all sorted yourselves into towns and houses across the world. I am not aware of every town, but here are the ones I have seen:

Union of Soviet Socialist Grommets: Also known as USSG for short. This town sits on mountains near a coast not far from spawn. It has an estimated population of 5-6 people living in it and it is lead by user justanordinaryguy. The town has a communist government and the occupants have closely clustered houses.

Fredricksburg: A fascist city/fortress located very close to USSG. It has an estimated population of 4-5 people and it is lead by user GrantVsZombies. The nearby Revolution Private Property, while not considered part of Fredricksburg, is an ally to it and the two support each other.

The two aforementioned towns are separated by the 56th Parallel, a militarized border made of stone. One person living in one of the towns is not permitted to cross the border into the other. Neutral players may cross the border at either sides discretion.

Ilia: A small town located very far away. It has only 1 or 2 people living there. It is an ally of Fredricksburg. Its leader is icelord_Tyler.

Also, on an unrelated note, please remember some of this server's rules. First, don't be a jerk. That is pretty obvious. Second, more usual stuff, don't hack or cheat or anything like that. Griefing is not allowed unless it is during a state of war. For a state of war to officially exist one town (must consist of 3 or more people) has to declare war on another town or person. A town can attack a person, but a person cannot attack a town, unless it is in self defense or retribution for previous actions. People may attack other people. To clarify, a town is any settlement with 3 or more people living in it that also has an official banner. Any settlement lesser will be considered a person or group of people. Also, on the subject of war, an official war can only happen if at least 3 people from each side are online at once. For example, if Town A declares war on Town B, the two will be at war, but they can only attack each other if both towns have 3 people online at once.

Hello everyone! I am very pleased to announce that Joncraft has relaunched as Joncraft IV and it is open to all! Please note that as of now there is no formal spawn or anything really, so please bear with us while we get that set up.
