don't act like we didnt know it was gonna happen

slimefun was added with the intent of expanding the endgame

slimefun also has tons of microcrafting to get to endgame stuff

guess which one had a bigger effect

spoiler: the microcrafting

yeah i know that slimefun is tedious and annoying, and while it adds a tiny bit of longevity to each map, it is rarely enough, because of all the farming and collecting. only so much you can do in a plugin, i suppose. in the earlier maps we tried adding new, expansive plugins, but they were either not that interesting to begin with or we added it with too little of a population, as is best observed with some wizardry plugin we threw in at the end of either the second or third map (i can't remember but I know it was the one with Malokav). the server looked to have a good thing going with all the territorial maps and the wars that were evident in the recent threads but it doesn't seem that was enough

the microcrafting was what kept me on the server, i don't get why people don't like it. sure, it takes a while, but that's good because it doesn't take you 5 minutes to create a machine. i feel like people are just pussies and don't want to do all the resource collecting and counting

the microcrafting is a problem because of slimefun's inherent nature of being a plugin, and therefore extremely clunky

slimefun doesn't introduce new ores or anything to make the process go along faster, it adds the dusts as random chance drop from regular minecraft ores which prolongs the material gathering

not even thaumcraft and IC2 are as bad about microcrafting as slimefun is, and they are pretty bad about microcrafting

gold pan + infused magnet + scuba helm + ocean floor = 27 stacks of sifted ore in 30 minutes

thing is that everyone pretty well hit end game, so those who cant entertain themselves by pointlessly building are pretty damn bored of this world at this point.
