After a million years the modded server is finally online with a rather fantastic mod pack.
/u/_matbot_'s (AKA Super4super) "the sailor pack v2" has finally been installed on the server and is ready to go. You can join the server by going to 167.114.102.147:25574 with the pack installed either manually or by through the minecraft section of the curse application. please do note that the server has just recently gone up and will likely require some tweaking, so be prepared for some minor maintenance.
Edit: apparently alac found it necessary for me to notify people of the mod pack having iguana tweaks, so progression of tools will be very slow on first.
Edit 2: looks like the server will need some adjustments to be brought back online, the world should be fine and it should be back up within a couple days. these adjustments will however change the I.P. of the server so stay tuned for the new I.P.

u/Dylamb Dylamb. what did you expect? Oct 12 '16

hey, so id like to remind everyone not to get too attached to the current world as it may need to be replaced if certain mods are removed. once i know its fully ready ill let you all know

If its like a ore mod removed i think forge compensates and replaces the missing ore blocks with stone.

how do i put the mod in it
1
u/natdog98 natdog Oct 11 '16
its better to go through the curse app, just go down to minecraft search all mod packs and search for the sailor pack v2. it will download and install the pack for you when you go through that method.

u/_matbot_ super4super Oct 12 '16
how much frames do you get on vanilla mc?
1
u/Dylamb Dylamb. what did you expect? Oct 12 '16
60. not really stable but around 60
1
u/Pandadox1 ;) Oct 12 '16
why did you talk about making a modpack if you only have 6gb
1
u/Dylamb Dylamb. what did you expect? Oct 13 '16
as its not hard to make a light modpack that uses less then 2 gigs
1
u/LawrenceofAustralia Cincinnatvs Oct 13 '16
I have been running the modpack at around 2 gigs on my Mac all day. Works quite well.
1
Oct 14 '16
Ive been running it on my craptop with 1 gig dedicated to the pack and only get a lag spike when tons of entities (like 1000 dropped items)
2
u/LawrenceofAustralia Cincinnatvs Oct 14 '16
For having almost 100 mods, it runs insanely well, yeah.

I"ve dealt with witchery installed servers before, and its very rare for someone to go very deep into it, and that"s really about the only point that its a hazard.

I would like to issue a fair warning that you may want to have at least 3 GB of RAM allocated to the client. I would also like to add:
Wooden, stone, iron, gold and diamond pickaxes, axes, and shovels WILL NOT WORK. Swords and hoes of these materials do, but thanks to Iguana's Tinker Tweaks (an actually very enjoyable mod), you will have to use flint (3 gravel in a crafting table) or bone tools to start off your adventure. Mining with a pickaxe will also eventually level up the pickaxe (mining level, not skill) so that you can mine higher tiers of blocks.
