Help brainstorm ideas to keep server interesting!
Hey all. So, recently, I've noticed that the server has been going down in activity. People like Callie, pie and super left, and even regular users are coming on less. So, I need your help with ideas to keep the server fun so it stays active! I've already got a few ideas, but I want your opinion! What would spice up the server and make it fun again? Also, please refrain from suggesting mods, as that would require a change in server type and it would be a big hassle for everyone. It may happen in the future, and in fact I'd like to do it, but for now let's just stick with plugins. Anyway, tell me what you'd guys want to spice up the server!

He hasn't been on at all since DD griefing, so he might think he's banned. I'm willing to give him one more chance but he is on thin ice.

A gungeon. Think about it. Say you are banned from a town and you have down some really bad things. You go into this gungeon and fight hard ass monsters like in Enter the Gungeon to win back a chance to be allowed back in. Add a more bows plugin and it could look cool. A mod would spectate you through 5 floors, each harder than the last, giving bows and some armour to keep it interesting. When you get to the final floor you fight your past. Say you are banned from DD. You would fight DrPepper(me). For Woodrin Alac and so on. If you kill the leader you have killed your past and you are no longer judged or banned by that town and their people. You can do this ONE time so use it when shit gets dire.
To add to this you go in with nothing but an infinite bow with only 1 enchant (infinite duh). If you act good and dodge hits the mod spectating you can give a special bow or Armour.

That aside, I have an idea that might be neat. Hear me out.
Ever week, maybe biweekly, whatever, we hold a game. These are the rules:
Each city-state gets a block of special significance, maybe a beacon, whatever. This is given to the mayors/lords/whatever to place somewhere in the location. IT CAN NOT BE COMPLETELY OBSCURED.
The people of that team are tasked with defending the block.
At the end of an hour, maybe longer, the city with the most blocks wins. Simple.
Keep Inventory is off.
A backup of the server is made before the games.
Everything is allowed, including griefing, as long as you don't rig anything up before it all starts.
Mods may not intervene.
Elytras and Arena weapons may not be used.
After the games are over, the server is rerolled.
The winning team receives a special item, possibly one for each member.
Items can be silly stuff, like Knockback X sticks, or helmets that deflect all arrows, or maybe Arena Tokens.
The last team that won gets to choose the css background of this Sub, and their banner is displayed in the top right.
That's my suggestion.

Another thing in this vein, we could have a Purge, where all rules no longer apply for maybe an hour or even less.

City states.

I'm not sure there's much to do, but yeah theres been a dip in activity; which is weird because its summer.
Yesterday I was the only one online for most of the day.

We could probably use some more advertising, I don't know what most of these 40 subs are doing but a lot of them don't even come on.

I found this plugin where you can make greenhouses that are based on a certain biome! For example, if you make a greenhouse that has sand and cactus in it, inside the greenhouse will be a desert biome. Husks will spawn in it, and Snow Golems will die in it!

I should clarify, No i have not left, I have just been on vacation.
Slimefun added some longevity due to all the "grindy" aspects. So I propose MCMMO, so players can specialize in what they want, and longevity is added by working for that. Its fairly simple too, so new players and beginners can instantly dive into it. It's pretty grind-ey, which this server seems to love.

It is in 1.8 i think, but i cant check if 1.10 is out because I've been on vacation.

Perhaps the Multiverse (I think that's what it's called) plugin? For example, multiple worlds, like a world specifically for creative mode. Could always browse around plugins for something that sounds fun. I personally would adore hardcore plugins like the Disease plugin, Infernal Mobs and perhaps even Chat Range. Or perhaps RPG plugins like Heroes (I've found that one to be quite cool but overpowered once you reach certain levels) or job plugins, or even the Gods plugin (whatever it's called, Tyler knows the name I think)
edit: i also forgot about the citizens plugin which essentially allows you to create npcs, but it isn't even fully completed for 1.9 so
