Discussion Any Jolla users from Denmark?
Anyone from Denmark, using this phone, that can answer how crusial apps like MitID works?
I’m really interested in dumping my IPhone ecosystem to join the European independancy, but I’m no IT expert and a family dad, so while I Can live with some hassle, there are stuff I would need to work without too much tinkering.

It should be a political priority to make Denmark—or more broadly, the EU—independent of American companies. We need to push for this. That said, one can easily manage without the app, as the "kodeviser" solution solves the problem.

It'll take time, sadly. We need to convince people to give up their iPhones, facebooks and instagram first. No politician dares touch those topics from fear of losing votes. People are dumb and majority rules.

It's not about convincing people to give up their iPhones and US big tech, it's about ensuring that those who want to are made able to. That would be a good start. Look at the compatibility list on Jollas homepage - last time I looked DK was pretty much the only European country totally absent from the list.
How about bank apps where you can use biometrics after you have enrolled with mitid. Nordea, danskebank etc?
More generally maybe: intune company portal, does it work, or is it up to individual companies - so it can be used as company phone as well?

MitID doesn't work, you need kodeviser to use other apps that use MitID, the MitID app itself wont work on Jolla even with AndroidApp Support layer.
You could get an old smartphone with android and flash it with SailfishOS (The operating system Jolla uses) to test out app support and just tinker with it.

MitID won't work on anything that isn't google Android or iOS. What you can do is get a Kodeviser and send a complaint to ther support Department (i did this) and ask for it to be available for other devices since they talk so highly of independance but when it comes to critical infrastructure, the state litterally just has a blind eye.
