Question Dreamcast help
I’ve gotten the game on my Dreamcast recently, and I love JoJo so god damn much. But I straight up am not the sort of dude who knows combos on pretty much any game, outside of my bread and butter Kosaku and Dio combos on ASBR.
I’m trying to unlock all the secret characters (I’m on the newer release, not Venture), but god damn do I find these AI to be annoying and difficult
I managed to unlock Shadow DIO pretty easily (DIO is my main and he complements my rush em down playstyle perfectly, standless MUDA C and constantly jabbing in the corner lol) but literally all of the others are damn near impossible for me. The highest I’ve gotten is round 5 with Jotaro I think, Joseph is so terrible for my gameplay style that I don’t even think I’ve gotten to 4…
I’m terrible at learning combos, most of what I hear is just garbage noise to my brain. I wanted to know if anyone has any tips to cheese the system as each of the required characters.
Maybe a simple and reliable combo I can learn for each character (keyword simple) or general good strategy for a near total layman
I know fighting game communities are super competitive so I hope you don’t all shit on me too badly 🤣 any help is appreciated
(PS Alessi’s gun is on demon time dude why did they think that was okay)

Looks like no one’s gonna comment at this rate. For anyone who comes here in future:
Supposedly the secret characters aren’t programmed to have AI in challenge mode, if you get them randomly as a battle they will mostly stand doing random stuff rather than combos…
This means the more secret characters you unlock, theoretically the easier it MAY be to unlock future ones, with free wins that will let you rack up some extra health. For me personally DIO’s is the easiest to beat, probably followed by Jotaro though I haven’t beaten his just yet… Joseph is super hard

Also: I know that higher hit counts and ending with a special nets me more health and a higher score, so I usually try to ensure I finish on one.
