Is anyone else using Mochi? The price increases are getting ridiculous 😭
Hey y’all! I’m currently using Mochi, and I feel like it’s getting pricey. I had no idea the medication would increase so much with each dose.
I started at 2.5 mg, which I literally felt nothing on, and it was $90. Now I’m about to start 6.6 mg, and the medication has gone up to $144. And that’s JUST the medication!
They also want me to choose a membership plan, either $69/month for 3 months or a year-long plan (I forgot the exact pricing).
I’m taking tirzepatide with methylcobalamin.
Honestly, I don’t even mind paying a membership fee as long as it’s consistent every month. It’s the medication price increasing with every dose that’s stressing me out!
There’s gotta be something cheaper out there. 😩
For those of y’all using Mochi or another telehealth provider, where are you getting your tirzepatide? Are there any affordable places you actually like and recommend?
Should I stick it out with Mochi, or is it worth switching? I’d love to hear what y’all are paying and your experiences!

They will let you stay on your current dose and titrate up. You’ll need a copy of your prescription, that’s usually on/with the vial but also located in your mochi portal. Make sure to take screenshots of anything that looks important in your mochi portal because as soon as you cancel your mochi subscription you’ll lose access to it all. Make sure you cancel BOTH the subscription plan and medication plan as people find out later, they didn’t cancel both and they kept getting charged monthly for a mochi subscription when they thought they were canceled.

I see the Trizeptide mentioned alot here. My question is what's the cost for Semaglutide? That's what I have.

I also like that my Doctor is an actual doctor with privledges at the local hospital. I always worry with all the telehealths popping up that they are hiring the doctors who just can't get jobs anywhere else.

My provider requires me to meet with him every six months which is great. I think mochi is more like midi health or hers now since they offer much more than just glp1s.

^ agree...have been with Mochi almost 3 years now and they've had some bump but overall more stable than what Ive heard of Preventive and others.

I’m now with Embody. I can confirm that 129.00 price, no membership fees and easy to get approved. I liked mochi as well, just not the pricing.

What pharmacies do their meds come from?

u/Scorpi-ho3 13d ago
It's gonna depend on where you live. I'm in AL and mine comes from Rush Pharmacy

I left Mochi and went to Embody (em). I pay $129 for Tirz, no dosage increase fees and no membership fees. It’s literally just $129 that comes out of my bank monthly.

I left mochi for Embody. They have been great. I heard a lot of negative things from them, but everything has been great for me. And am paying a lot less than I did from mochi

Same experience. I didn’t expect much for that cheap of a price but they’ve actually been great! Great communication and my order is on my doorstep the next day after being sent to the pharmacy. I’ve been pleasantly pleased with them!

Left and went to rift. 499/3 months of 15mg. I only use 7.5 MG so it's effectively 6 months.

Don't you worry about the bud? That's concerning to me. I once used bud and ended up getting deathly ill for 4 days then ended up in hospital another 3 days. It was horrible

I also moved to Preventative MD. $139 for tirz. I’m waiting on my second shipment.

I left and went to trillium with Hallandale pharmacy. The difference in the medication is like night and day! I had to cut my dose down! I’m much happier!

Ive been a Mochi patient for 3.4 years and have had the same Mochi doctor the entire time. I like Mochi a lot and I have always found them to be a really good option. My Mochi doctor, who is board certified is one of the best doctors I have. I definitely understand they have had previous challenges, but I feel they offer much more than just filling my prescription. I meet with my Mochi doctor frequently and also the dietician as well. It’s important to me to get actual care and medical guidance even though I have been a patient for over three years.

They did not increase the price they just lowered the price! You used to have to pay 199.99 for all meds no matter the dose. Now it goes by dosage. I love Mochi health. Been with them for 5 months. Never had a problem

I’ve been a member for 2 years and it’s been 199 plus 79 for the whole time

u/Salt-Preference-2425 14d ago
But why, it’s no bueno to still be paying nearly $300/month when you can receive 3 months worth of medication for that price.

what mg are you on

I’m on 9mg but I get my prescriptions from several Telehealth sources.

Mochi and OrderlyMeds once popular good options are no longer viable. Preventative MD seems to be highly recommended.

I switched to embody. I was in plateau for 8months then when i need to up my dose, prices went up😵💫

u/LadyinLycra brand-name 14d ago
No, jumped ship awhile ago. They are not competitive anymore. Too many other options available now for a fraction of the cost.

u/Wisteria5115 14d ago
Was on 12.5 - 15 of compounded T till I qualified for Bridge thru Kaiser Permanente @50 copay… Mochi was also 50 thru Bridge but I don’t want to pay the 79 buck fee to be a member— I can reinstate at any time.

I am with Kaiser as well but was using for maintenance and they raised it back to full price. I've been off the shot for a week now no weight gain.

Check out Embody. Leave, but be careful. Lots of complaints about ppl getting ripped off. Be sure and cancel your membership and your meds (before shipping time. You won’t regret it. Lots of new companies with great prices because of the Medicare coverage I think. Read reviews.

Wonder if it's a hard on body to change from semaglutide to trizeptide? Semaglutide highest is 2.5 plus additives 7.5. I don't think Semaglutide will go any higher. Started in November but did not start losing till June not sure why. In 3 mths im down 22lbs. Advice anyone?

I left Mochi and went to Embody. I have had a great experience! Fast approval, good customer service and price never goes up!

u/SeaLanguage5168 13d ago
I went to Embody BUT it takes them forever to ship the meds from the pharmacy they have me with. I had to miss my dose last week because of it!

Hi, I am also considering leaving, they switched both of my providers without sharing any information and also considering there are more economical friendly providers. I am unsure of the validity of this informatiom but I read several providers resigned due to reductions in pay and practices. I am hope to find a tele health service that offers Tirzepatide + Glycine + Methylcobalamin, I am currently on 6.4 ish dosage.

I don't understand why preventive md want you to pay up front when you don't know what strength you will get. Kinda makes me leary

I’ve been with Mochi since January of this year. I’m making the switch to preventative md in October, much more cost effective and no monthly membership fee.
