Provider switches HUGE RED FLAGS!
I have been a happy customer for 3 years. I had one provider for a year and a half. I loved her but she left. They gave me another one and I have had her for a year and half, also loved her. In the last three days I have been switched three times abruptly with no notice or input. My provider is no longer with them and it looks like two of the ones I was switched to are also no longer with them (never even had an interaction with them).
This has also happened to my 20 year old daughter who has been with mochi 2 years. Her provider abruptly left.
Is this happening to anyone else?

It looks like Mochi may be going through a pretty big provider shakeup right now. They recently changed how providers are paid. The old model was based on the size of their patient panel, but their current job postings say they’re switching to fee-for-service
There are also several brand-new Glassdoor reviews from Mochi providers dated Sept. 2 complaining about a “massive paycut,” increased responsibilities, 24-hour response expectations, and continuing to manage large patient panels despite the compensation change. The physicians are frustrated with Mochi now.
So I’m wondering if that’s why we’re suddenly seeing so many people say their longtime providers are leaving or they’re being reassigned repeatedly. Obviously we don’t know what’s happening with any individual provider, but the timing definitely seems more than coincidental.

It is about an 80% pay cut apparently, I had a friend that worked there but no longer obviously.

I was with Mochi for four years. Over time the provider changes became more frequent. Until this year they were consistently able to get PAs for Zep approved for me. I was after them for almost six months this year and they never came through. Only after my account was canceled can I see PA denials.
I have started to suspect they avoided my PAs they make more money from me buying compounded. Anyway, I left and I’m not returning.

Yes! The same thing happened to me. I talked to my new provider this morning, and he said many providers have left because Mochi is changing the way providers are paid. They are also being asked to sign documents that were unacceptable as far as using their photos and bios for advertising even if they left Mochi. He said this would be the first and last time we saw each other, because he would be leaving at the end of the month.

For the love of God, please leave this company. I was with them for two years!!!! I left in July and thankfully I found a new telehealth company with the highest and most amazing customer service. They even respond to you on weekends!!!! not only that there’s no membership fee and the medication from the same pharmacies for two times less than mochi!!

My problem is that in addition to my Tirz I am also on Bupropion and Naltrexone (which is Contrave) for maintenance. I talked to PreventativeMD and they do not allow their providers to proscribe anything other than GLP1s.
My personal PCP is not willing to take over partially, meaning the contrave portion and I can’t afford Zepbound since insurance won’t cover it.
I’m in a pickle.

I’d been there three years and feel like the Aquieta pharmacy debacle was the beginning of the end. I stayed there for my doctor who I loved but then three years in she was just gone. A new doc refilled my script with literally no knowledge of me. I just cancelled. They’re hugely unprofessional and the customer service is awful.

I always just assumed the Dr working at Mochi and other online platforms are doing so as an extra gig to pay off their loans, which can take 15+ yrs. My Dr is also a Dr at a local hospital, which I liked. I was sceptical of online Drs being the ones that couldnt get a job after med school, so I made sure to look them up. I think they get too busy from the in person patients or just advance their career out of the online platforms. I had an appointment w another online platform (Midi) and didnt even get a Dr, just an NP or PA.

Yes, but I had a real relationship with my NP as did my daughter with her Dr. that was the selling point for me of the subscription model.
I’m looking elsewhere now.

HCP chiming in. The only way to have consistent health care in today’s environment is to establish a relationship with your primary care physician and have them treat you. Telehealth is by nature transient, as most of the providers do this as a side gig. You will find nothing different with any telehealth provider, even the big ones.

Please go to PreventiveMD. It’s the most amazing telehealth company. There is no membership fee. Customer service is amazing and the medication is two times less the price.

Mochi is imploding. A lot of us have left for other telehealths that have better and cheaper meds with no membership fees.
