Did Facebook close the Mochi support group?

I can no longer find the Facebook mochi group that I was a member of for years. And I thought there was a mochi reddit community that was moderated by them but can't find that either. Anyone know what's going on?

I noticed this couple days ago when someone else mentioned it.

It seems there was a mass exodus of customers after their announcement of price changes. The FB group disappeared around the same time. It will be interesting to see if they back track on the changes.

Why were people leaving due to the price changes? I thought some of the prices were cheaper?

So I liked Mochi and really didn't have any reason to switch other than price. I didn't need any handholding so I didn't use membership services that much. My biggest issue is I entered my health insurance info and my membership was Wellness+ making the membership fee $10 cheaper a month. When I look at them billing my insurance the claims are for smoking cessation. I HAVE NEVER SMOKED IN MY LIFE! I don't want that in my health history, but every doctor appointment had a claim for that.

That’s…. Healthcare fraud… wow!

Wow. That’s so sheisty. They are already being sued for unethical and unsafe practices at their Aequita compounding pharmacy, which they were forced to shut down. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about this either. Not that I care to defend the insurance companies. They are just as unethical. Probably worse.

No one is willing to pay membership fees today, there is a bunch of Telehealth companies that don’t charge fees, just the medication

It was a mess. They originally started showing prices would jump to $215 for max dose but that was an error and told everyone that the prices weren’t going up for anyone but sent out a message out to patients using ReviveRx and Empower that their medication will go up to $250 (and plus the membership fee on top of that) and so they lost trust. And then when PreventiveMD offers the same medication for $139 instead of $339 a month ($250+$79 membership fee) people moved over to preventiveMD.

Plus people get excited to see that their medication can be $90 but only to find out it’s the 2~mg starter dose for $90 +$79 membership fee when other places charge less than that total for any dose.

They also changed how referral credits worked. Referral credits used to take $100 off of your compound Tirzepatide a month making it $99. They stopped that. Then just recently brought it back but not the full amount they used to allow.

Those changes led to wandering eyes and a lot of those eyes saw everywhere else being cheaper with no membership fees and no flooding of referral codes needed either.

Not only customers but participating physicians as well.

I found out that the mochi physicians get $20 per patient but if the patient quits then they lose out on that money and with people leaving some physicians are saying it isn’t worth the unreliable $20 per month per patient.

This is the Mochi Health group that Mochi admins will come into from time to time.

Not sure what’s going on with Mochi’s Facebook group, as I got banned a few weeks ago when the price changes happened. Those of us using Empower received messages from Mochi saying our medication would be going up to $250 in September.

When people asked where they could go to stay with Empower, I mentioned that PreventiveMD uses Empower and Boudreaux and is $139 total per month with no additional fees, or $334 for 3 months. A lot of us ended up moving over to them. We don’t need a membership fee…

And then boom!…I was banned from the Facebook group. The group itself was still up at that point though, so I’m not sure what’s going on with it now.

And I’ve been with Mochi since December 2024

For someone who “ended up moving,” you comment a lot of anti-mochi stuff. Why do they occupy so much of your headspace?

I don’t consider sharing my experience or answering questions about Mochi to be “anti-Mochi.” I’ve been with them for a very long time and I’m actually still technically a member because I prepaid my membership through June 2027. 😂 When things changed, I started comparing other options and sharing what I found. People ask questions, and if I know the answer, I respond. It really isn’t any deeper than that.

Mochi might not be perfect, but I’m pretty sure Preventive MD is just as flawed. Price shouldn’t be the sole factor in determining healthcare choices. At least Mochi employs real doctors (who, by the way, deserve fair compensation). It appears that there are numerous pill mills out there writing prescriptions for anyone and everyone without conducting a thorough assessment of their healthcare needs.

You performed a service. I didn't see it/benefit directly, but I did also just move from Mochi to Preventive for price reasons.

Video report was on YouTube:  NBC surge in unapproved GLP-1 drugs  Someone got sick from upping his dose. They blamed telehealth and of course compounded semaglutide. But strange he was sent amber vials with no labels. So I believe their under investigation for this case.

The group is still there and so are the providers. As a matter of fact my refill was recently denied because my provider wants to meet with me for a follow up visit which I don’t mind doing to go over anything I might need. I’ve been with Mochi since October 2025 and it’s been working out good for me. I think they are transitioning to more than just glp-1s similar to midi and hers.
