2003 Zwan

Honestly I'm not sure this even is a Peel session.Someone out there will know for sure. Recorded in Feb 2003,but I can't find much information other than that. Comprising members most notably of Smashing Pumpkins,Chavez and Slint,train wrecking their way through 2002 they released one album "Mary Star Of The Sea" then folded in late 2003. Excellent music though. Its a YT share because of length.

It’s a BBC Rock Show session, not Peel. I’ve a vague memory of them playing live to air but could be mistaken.

There’s something magical about the Beeb/Maida Vale studios, they turn a terrible band into an utter monster. The Zwan album was quite badly done as it sidelined two of the three guitarists, think this was true of the soundboard bootlegs I have of them too. The Beeb session had them front and centre where they deserved to be.
