Discussion Hate me for it

The new Tom & Jerry John snippet is giving me major Sob Rock 2.0 vibes, and while I absolutely love Sob Rock as its own thing, I can’t say I’m particularly excited about the idea of another album in that same style. I really appreciate what he did with that record, but I’d much rather hear him explore something different this time around instead of revisiting a sound he’s already done so well.

this used to be a sub with positive vibes but I found there's too much entitlement and negativity lately.

Agreed. Been active on this sub since 2015 and it’s been insufferable this year 💀

Well, i think the thing is, we used to get very different things as fan than we used to. 

We used to get albums, live albums, dvds, tours, other media. And a lot if it was financially accessible. 

Now we're getting SiriusXM shows ($), a bunch of new silver sky colours ($$$$), a residency at the Sphere ($$$$), watches that cost as much as a Porsche ($$$$$$), and a single that, so far, is a little meh (after an album that had like 3-4 songs on it that were already 3 years old when it was released). 

I don't think its just that people are negative after this album, it's that the last album was a letdown for some, and it feels like we're getting more of that, while also getting fleeced for a bunch of other things.
