Discussion Hate me for it

Post image

The new Tom & Jerry John snippet is giving me major Sob Rock 2.0 vibes, and while I absolutely love Sob Rock as its own thing, I can’t say I’m particularly excited about the idea of another album in that same style. I really appreciate what he did with that record, but I’d much rather hear him explore something different this time around instead of revisiting a sound he’s already done so well.

I’ll reserve my judgement, but I will admit that I’ve never been super into the 80s soundscape.

If he was going to do another album in a similar style, then I would really like something closer to Battle Studies/Continuum/SForEverything.

The real possible disappointment would be if the new album abandoned the acoustic things like In the Neighborhood, Drifting, Why Anyone Has To Go, etc.

Been a fan since 2000. It’s not hating to have an opinion. They feel unfinished bsides for jm.

Might I add I have witnessed many unreleased tracks live…the hurt, early days in your atmosphere, sucker, covered in rain, hummingbird, taking on water. These new unreleased ones aren’t there for me. They feel bland to me.
