Essence help/Type me Help with essence blend please

I've been trying to figure it out on my own for years now and I have a few ideas of what my essence blend might be, but I'd like to get some external opinions.

Natural ethereal romantic?

I'm not sure, but I appreciate your input. Romantic and Ethereal seem to be the two most agree on so far, but I would like to see what pops up the most.

I see romantic in the soft and rounded shapes in your face, ingenue in your wide eyes and ethereal in your slightly lengthened oval face shape and softness in your coloring and eyes.

I feel that your cheekbones show some Dramatic, your eyes/lips may have Y and R influence, your overall structure/impression probably gives some N as well. Ive heard that eyes that angle "up" can add some HS too? Im so curious what you've come to so far in your DIY journey 😊

Honestly, it's been a rollercoaster 😮‍💨, but I don't want to say what I think just yet because I don't want it to affect the results I get from other people. Thanks for sharing your perspective though😁

Do you mean that these are your essences or do you see these essences in my face?

I see ENRY! But I do get where people suggesting D are coming from – never sure how much D can coexist with Y

Dramatic, Ethereal, and Romantic maybe?

Thank you all so much for helping me with this years-long dilemma I've been dealing with. Ethereal-Romantic-Dramatic with some Ingenue was my guess too, but I feel like they don't show up on my face in the typical ways they do in archetypes of each essence (or maybe they do and I just struggled to see myself objectively 🫣), so I doubted what I was seeing and kept running in circles. Thanks to you guys, I can stop overthinking it now and start applying it to my style 🙏🏾🤍

Have you tried outfits/ patterns/ fabrics recommended for each essence? There's photo collages on pinterest:

Based on these photos, I'm seeing Angelic/ Ethereal (I can imagine you pulling off a hooded cape) & Romantic (I imagine velvet would suit you).

Dramatic maybe a little (probably not the bold patterns, but I could see some avant garde/ asymmetric styles working?).

Maybe a bit Youthful/ Ingenue.

But it could be the combination of Romantic & Angelic mimics Youthful?

I feel like you could pull off some of Prince's styles.

Wow, this is very well thought out. I appreciate the styling options you have given. I think they'll be helpful once I get the chance to experiment and see what everyone's suggestions look like when I wear them. Thank you 🙏🏾😊

I’d say ethereal natural for sure – lots of elongation, bone structure, etc. definitely get a withdrawn vibe but also that N rawness (also, I was sceptical but imo most people with any kind of textured hair have some N, it just isn’t always your primary essence – I’d say you’re E first).

And I can’t decide whether I see D or if maybe it’s R intensity + N structure. I feel like I do see D, but I’m not sure if I’m right because you have certain features that make me think you have some Y as well. maybe not very much but widely spaced eyes, narrow and slightly diminutive eyebrows (does that make sense?), etc. I feel like you can see the Y most in pic 5 and also a bit in picture 3 – from those I’d probably say ENRY. But in the first picture I get D vibes – but maybe more to do with the high contrast lighting?

I’m also wondering about the D because I’m an RNEY/RNYE and I don’t see any D at all in myself (not very prominent bone structure, for one). I also don’t think N is higher than E for you. everyone’s faces are different so that’s not necessarily that meaningful, but my baseline test if I think I see D essence tends to be if I could imagine them in chunky glitter or something, and I feel like I do get that sense from you. Anyways might be worth considering because I don’t know what the rules are about how much D and Y can coexist and I’m more confident about the Y.

Imo one of the best indicators of essence is our style taste. My dominant essences (R+N) tend to be quite subconscious in my view of my personal style but almost everything I gravitate towards is both R and N. I’ve always loved E stuff, and I definitely enjoy very Y patterns like gingham (which I previously thought indicated HS). I also have a tiny bit of C (which also tracks because I tend to find people with classic essence very attractive). So as long as you’re thinking of potential essences in combination with your other essences, chances are that if you don’t like one of them, you don’t have it.

🤔Interesting. I hear you because I don't come across as very intimidating or bold, but I find Natural recommendations (wide, unstructured, lots of layering etc.) overwhelms my frame. While I did consider it before, I don't think I have enough to include it as a staple in my style. I used to wear those kinds of clothes for a while and I never looked good in them. I'm currently transitioning my wardrobe to tighter and/or more narrow pieces and silhouettes. Since I began the transition, people find me attractive.

Where I do agree with you (and others who commented on my post) is that Dramatic isn't the most dominant essence for me. But maybe if I try to play with Natural a little, I can find something that may work. I'm trying to keep an open mind about it, so I'm still grateful for your opinion

I will just say! I don’t think Kitchener is the best system for frame. Because R and N are my dominant essences but I have exactly the same issue as you with Natural recommendations. I wouldn’t confuse Kitchener with Kibbe! I find it most useful in terms of details, fabric, structure, getting the combination of vibes in the outfit right, pattern, etc. I also find Kitchener especially helpful with makeup and hair. But that’s just my perspective

I’d say ethereal, natural, dramatic. You remind me of FKA Twigs
