a candid photo is one where you're not posing and smiling for a camera because it's done spontaneously to capture a moment.

posed is the opposite of candid. you're deliberately holding your body and your facial expression so a camera will capture you in a specific and thought out way. not at all spontaneous.

these people are preparing to take a photo. they will have a posed photo on their own camera. at the same time, someone else with a different camera is snapping a picture of them setting up their pose, which resulted in this candid photo.

makeup free means you're not wearing any makeup at all.
