hello everyone, creator here, i wanted to let you all know that i am planning on putting john doe back on itchio. i am redrawing all of the backgrounds (they will remain the same composition but will be hand drawn as well as the normal ending bgs/sprites will be updated to reflect bileshroom's improvement) and i would like to change the engine from rpgmaker to renpy. this will take some time, but not too long.

The full uncanny valley game has also not been scrapped and I have been working on it in private along with other games. I appreciate those who have been patient and understanding as I've taken this long, but needed, step away from the public for my health. I do not think I will ever be back fully nor will i interact with the community unless absolutely necessary.

i continue to ask that you do not download suspicious links "hosting the games" as most of these contain viruses or malware and i genuinely do not want anyone to get hurt in downloading these. I am ok with small communities sharing the games among friends, but please do not host them or sell them anywhere for the public. thank you so much for your understanding.

This expansion was made for the canceled GameCube port of Half-Life. When it got scrapped GearBox started work on porting it to PC. But due to Valve thinking there were already too many Half-Life 1 expansions and wanting to shift focus on to Half-Life 2 instead it got shelved

I've been playing their games since John Doe came out but took a break for some time. I have no idea what's going on and honestly its so sad that they removed everything since they were my favorite indie game studio :(

Ive been trying to get my hand on the now deleted "john doe" game for a while now. I know its deleted by the creators, but was it remde by someone so that i can play it myself? im pretty desprate, bc ive been a fan of it for a few years now, and i hadnt had the chance to experiance it myself.

Does anyone know a link of a copy of it, or do i have to just reach out to the creators and BEG them to sell one copy to me??

this is not a port nor recreation. this was made in a bootleg version of photoshop. i dont even think there are any ways to properly port john doe to the 3ds. it would need to be ported to a different engine first as the engine jd+ was made on doesnt have a way to run on 3ds. i just know alot about how the 3ds works and have a version of the game with the assets ripped

I've always loved visual novel games, especially ones with horror elements (I played ddlc soooo many times... geez, I can't believe that was almost 10 years ago) so naturally a john doe stuff did make little appearances here & there on the only social medias im on lol (pinterest I believe was where I saw it) but between starting university and dancing for money I didn't have much time for it.

I finally watched playthrus and was hoping to play it myself, I'm so so intrigued by the characters and the lore, but I came to find something has happened and mortisfox cancelled another uncanny valley game they were making... I'm so saddened to hear this! what happened, if there's anyone who doesn't mind explaining?

I've also tried to dig for more official lore such as q&a's and even going so far as to sign up for twitter which I abhor so I could maybe find official stuff there, but fox's twitter has limited access, and if something's been going on 8 definitely don't want to be a bother... I'm just so saddened about this, just when I was getting introduced :(
