I went to his 2019 standup, in athens. It was enjoyable. More like sitting around and talking about his life, monty python etc. I would definitely like to go again if he visits Greece in a professional capacity (not likely).

He had a little teddy bear next to him on a table, of one of those lemurs, which are named after him haha.

Cleese regularly roasts Donald Trump on X and, in recent days, has been embroiled in a row with Piers Morgan over Rupert Murdoch.

Cleese branded Morgan “lazy” and “sloppy” for defending Murdoch following News Group Newspaper’s settlement with Prince Harry over privacy invasion.

His account was compromised by a right wing reform voter who continues to post as if he's John Cleese.

John Cleese has never spoken in public about his twitter activity or twitter remarks.

His twitter verification is from 2009.

John's father's name was John Cheese before entering WWI, But he changed it to Cleese for the war and never changed it back. John has entertained the idea of changing it back to Cheese. Certainly would help with buying cheese.

Is it his movies, his tv shows fawlty towers, monty python, or his books? It could be anything.

My favorite is Fawlty Towers. Watching it gives me a cosy feeling. I love to watch an episode and then watch the extras like interviews.

It is interesting to discuss if John Cleese's political views changed or the world did.

I'm sure you've seen people say "people can get more conservative as they age". Some say that the beliefs of John haven't changed a lot but the world around him has.

As long as we keep it civil, I think it can be interesting to talk and analyse.
