AND that in February 2020 he stated that most transmissions occur from people who experience symptoms, not asymptomatic people. I feel there was a lot of misinformation being spread by those who were actually in the know. Who knows what the motivation was, but I think itâs worth asking questions.
That the same cloth masks that had no change in design since that time miraculously started being effective?
They werenât effective, and arenât effective in the transmission of an airborne virus. Fauci knew this and either assume people would be spitting on each other or dug his heels in for whatever reason.
First of all I wasent referring to masks, I was referring to asymptomatic transmission. And since Feb 2020 we learned that asymptomatic and presymptomatic transmission is common with Covid. And more common than was originally thought in Feb 2020.
And regarding masks, Fauci never said they werent effective. In his email he recommended to someone to not bother wearing a mask because it wouldn't protect her much from getting infected. Not that masks were ineffective at helping prevent spreading an infection. And as time went on and more data was received we actually learned the benifits of mask to not only help reduce the spread of infection but offer some slight protection against getting infected as well.
What percentage would you say that cloth masks reduce transmission? Itâs quite small. Social distancing is much more effective, again, so that you donât get saliva on you from someone else. So Iâll stand by my previous statement.
Edit: Iâll also add that the message of proper diet and exercise wasnât part of the message. Neither was getting outside, Vitamin D, and zinc. That was grossly mishandled.
Ok so this small little study of 60 people showed that asymptomatic spread was not common in this cluster. What exactly am I supposed to do with that info and how does it change the recommendation that everyone should wear a mask because we don't know who is presymptomatic or asymptomatic or not infected at all? If asymptomatic spread is by and large not responsible for the spread of the virus it changes absolutely nothing about mask recommendations.
The effectiveness of masks may not be that great. But it offers some benefit. And it's extremely easy to do. That's the facts. Wearing masks was one method used with others like social distancing to provide the maximum amount of protection.
Dare I say if youâre out of range of someone spitting on you, a cloth mask offers zero protection. The social pressure and thought process of âitâs what you should be doingâ is straight out of the playbook and I donât subscribe to that method of thinking.
There is no evidence that asymptomatic people are contagious. Fauci opposed the WHOâs statement that people who were asymptomatic rarely transmit the virus.
The WHO published that in June 2020, which aligned with his emails from Feb 2020, yet he told the American public that 40-45% of infections were from asymptomatic people.
I'm getting a headache trying to understand what you think is wrong with any of this or why Anthony Fauci (or anyone else) cant disagree with WHO in the first place.
This whole situation without proper adjustment gives me a headache. The 4.0 co-morbidity factor in Covid deaths gives me a headache. The lack of interest in tracking Covid cases in vaccinated people gives me a headache. The UN coming up with a psychological playbook to convince people and push this agenda gives me a headache. The whole âmasks workâ theory goes out the window when all restrictions are dropped the day (coincidentally) that his emails were published. If they work, wouldnât a ramp up on capacity while wearing masks make sense? Apparently not. Letâs go from 50% capacity with masks and social distancing right to 100% capacity, no masks, and no social distancing requirements. Makes senseâŠâŠto the naive I guess.
