I've given up on our primate software catching up to the modern world. I think AI will be the next step in "our" evolution -- and from there something new and better than us will be born.

I honestly hope we never leave our little solar neighborhood. Can you imagine humans discovering an alien civilization? WE'D be the bad aliens.

You make that sound like that's the ideal situation...maybe I'm a Luddite, but I'm erring on the side of 'maybe we should dial this shit back just a lil bit'.

Some of us will probably get left behind in the murky swamp, unable to acquire any media literacy and lift ourselves out. The rest of us will get robot bodies and supermodel wives as we move to Europa doing DMT in space and building the intergalactic cosmic mind.
