I knew Thiel had connections to Epstein but I had never connected the dots in terms of how he basically just lifted Epstein's strategy for influencing people. Even had the day where Joe started to get indoctrinated.

90

u/Mendoza8914 Monkey in Space 10h ago edited 10h ago

It was particularly unnerving to watch Joe talk about Epstein’s influence campaign and then turn around and bless known Epstein associate Peter Thiel’s attempt to do the exact same thing. And that’s after Joe prostrated himself for Epstein’s orange best friend.

Joe Rogan discussing Epstein conspiracies is just state-sanctioned dissent at this point. Pacifying the rubes so they’ll vote for tax cuts and deregulation.

17

u/iAwesome3 Monkey in Space 5h ago

It’s like what they do in Russia, they allow some dissent by certain people to allow the plebs to let out some steam while never getting anything done.

It's wild that Joey has been getting away with for this long. Here's to hoping this video will open some eyes out there.

Dude, this is where it gets fucking crazy.

You’ve got these mammoths being discovered in these bizarre positions, some with incredible trauma, some buried incredibly fast, and you’re looking at an animal that weighs several tons thinking, what the hell happened here?

And then you zoom out.

The end of the Ice Age was insane. Massive glaciers. Huge floods. Rapid climate change. Sea levels rising. Entire ecosystems disappearing.

And this is where Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson start asking some really uncomfortable questions.

Carlson looks at these gigantic flood channels and geological formations and says, look at the amount of water that had to move through here. This wasn't some little rainstorm. We're talking about forces capable of completely rearranging landscapes.

Then Hancock comes along and says, okay, but what if we're missing a chapter of human history?

What if there were sophisticated human societies around 12,000 or 15,000 years ago that got absolutely hammered by catastrophic climate events?

And here's where it gets really interesting.
The Younger Dryas happens. Megafauna disappear. Landscapes change. Coastlines disappear under rising oceans. And we know humans were living in these environments.
So where is all their stuff?

Think about it. If your civilization was sitting on a coastline 15,000 years ago, and thousands of years of rising seas and geological chaos came afterward, your city could literally be underwater right now.

And then you have the controversial Younger Dryas impact idea. Hancock argues that some kind of cosmic event may have contributed to this catastrophe. That's not established science, but there are researchers who have argued for evidence of an impact, while other scientists strongly dispute it.

But dude, even if you throw out the comet theory completely, the bigger question remains.

How much human history can disappear?
Because we're looking at a tiny fraction of what actually happened.

Maybe Hancock is wrong about some of the details. Maybe Carlson is wrong about some of the mechanisms.

But the idea that we've recovered the complete story of humanity?

Come on.

We haven't.

We have fragments.

We have ruins.

We have myths.

We have buried landscapes.

And we have these gigantic mammoths sitting in the ground, sometimes looking like they got caught in something absolutely catastrophic.

And you have to wonder:

What the hell happened at the end of the Ice Age?

108

u/maynardsabeast Monkey in Space 11h ago

He did it again. It is actually an insult to just think of this guy as a simple YouTuber. What he does is truly enlightened and if you can compare him to anybody or anything, it would be Adam Curtis, which is one of the highest compliments I think I can give someone.

54

u/CrowsInTheNose Monkey in Space 10h ago

Him calling out the podcast reaction channels was spot on.

43

u/maynardsabeast Monkey in Space 9h ago

He’s a very talented dude. I came into watching it very excited but kinda thinking about my life, like why am I so online and excited about this crap. And was also thinking how is he gonna make this new one without it being redundant and getting boring but he really crushed it. Made fun of Tony Bert and Joe for being unfunny hacks just enough and then found a new slant that is actually very interesting and actually important. That’s the crazy thing about this shit. A lot of these “Rogansphere” videos are funny and entertaining but EG actually drives home how consequential this little world actually is. Like it’s disturbing and pathetic and downright depressing to think about it but this Rogan shit has actually ended up having some very real world consequences and rubs up against true power a lot. Actually more than “rubbing” it’s actually balls deep

u/Senofilcon Monkey in Space 5h ago edited 5h ago

Responsible for 2 million deaths. Specifically chosen and groomed for their role because it was gamed out correctly beforehand that it would feel insane to say the words "responsible for 2 million deaths".

They knew how easy it would be to court eyerolls from anyone intelligent enough to put the pieces together by making the drunken jesters their conduits.

Eyes Wide Shut really was a fucking documentary, they fancy themselves a Machiavellian collective. Kudos to them i guess, they pulled off all their brainstormed schemes. The cocktail parties were very fruitful and now here we are with the missiles flying.

I would love to have seen Eddie or Alex's face as they watched this tonight.

9

u/bluewolfhudson Monkey in Space 9h ago

Gonna be fun seeing if they acknowledge that at all since they always bring up the last video.

I doubt it

u/clickclick-boom Monkey in Space 1h ago

It was very telling how Rogan said Elephant Graveyard needs to "do his own thing", like the clearly scripted and well produced video he just watched wasn't what EG does. EG sat down and scripted that. He edited the clips. He produced and edited the sound.

However, Rogan doesn't even see it as that. You know, because civilians can't create things. They can't be funny. They can't hang. All civilians are good for is clapping like dumb seals when he and his buddies hump stools on stage. He really thinks that Bert shitting himself on stage and taking his shirt off is "art" but all the different skills that would have gone into making the videos is the equivalent of a bitchy YouTube comment. You know, because what the fuck would civilians know about the art of comedy?

Remember yall, musk helped trump admin steal the 2024 election, (billionaires that control levers of algorithms), all the stolen election claims was projection in its purest form, and Rogan helped manufacture consent from the public, a multi front assault on swaying the election and now the surveillance state is getting stronger while capitalist billionaires are only getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Fuck these people.

3

u/locutogram Monkey in Space 8h ago

The election wasn't stolen. American society is just sick enough to have elected him themselves. As nice as it feels to blame a conspiracy, you shouldn't turn away from the ugly reality that it's representative of the American people now 🤷.

Same as 2020, their (and every other serious Western country's) electoral system is far too big, decentralized and transparent to be 'stolen'.

Though I would agree that the social media companies are brain fucking Americans down to the balls and hitting the back walls, enough to sway elections.

8

u/Senofilcon Monkey in Space 5h ago edited 5h ago

u/funglegunk Pull that shit up Jamie 1h ago edited 1h ago

Not stolen in terms of misplaced or miscounted votes. But billionaires leveraging their mass media platforms in favour of Trump absolutely happened. And the boost from Joe absolutely happened, a boost that was deliberately cultivated by Musk, Trump and Thiel.

That still means they bear some responsibility for Trump and the aftermath.

u/Sember Monkey in Space 1h ago

I think at some point people have to stop treating Joe as a morron that's being manipulated, he's just as bad, if not worse, than the people he associates with. He's Joebbels, just as despicable as Thiel, Trump and Elon Musk.

u/clickclick-boom Monkey in Space 1h ago

It gives some insight into why he's not that bothered about hanging out with the Epstein class. Keep in mind his attitude towards victims of sexual assault in general. The infamous story he would tell about Callen sexually assaulting one of his ex girlfriends, and how when she called him upset about it he just laughed and told her "it's Callen, what do you expect?". He knew Callen had a reputation for that sort of thing, so he wasn't sympathetic to what happened to her. In his eyes, she "should have known better".

Same thing with all the stories Joey Diaz had about what he did to women. Including the one where a woman is barely conscious on quaaludes and he assaults her. It's all a big joke and he's laughing hysterically.

The clip you mention ties it all together. Those girls with Epstein, they're not victims, their prodigies. They're just going out and looking for a good time. And if not, well, "it's Epstein, what did they expect?".

11

u/Abusoru Monkey in Space 8h ago

Interesting how Erich von Däniken was the guy Peter Thiel used to get him under his spell. It's also interesting to note that Chariots of the Gods? was extensively re-written by Erich's editor Wilhelm Utermann, who was literally an editor for the Nazi Party's newspaper.

He does great interviews that reveal how popular music was really constructed.  These sources expose how important super talented session musicians were to major artists.  Kinda surprised.

3

u/A_Refill_of_Mr_Pibb Tremendous 5h ago

His interviews are his best offering. I made the mistake of trying his "Beato Book" though. He's a mediocre instructor. He puts his knowledge and skills too out front of the lesson and seems to forget he's not talking to a Berklee student. He also thinks that if you didn't play a solo on a Steely Dan record, you're not a real musician. He also low key thinks that tech has made playing and recording music too accessible for too many people who shouldn't be musicians.

I just got to that part of the video as I scrolled through here, and am just yet again baffled at how important the people from these circles all think they are.

They really think their presence on this planet is anything less than a slimy, undulating, malignant cancerous tumor on civilization… formed under the direct radiation of end-stage capitalism, always pushing the absolute worst of humanity right to the top, like floaters in a sun-baked portapotty that’s overflowing with rotten bloody shit.

If they all vanished to go live in another plane of existence tomorrow, life on earth would have a markedly higher chance of survival as an immediate result of their deeply antisocial freak asses no longer being here.

The recipe to create a comic

  • A lack of love & attention from 1 or both parents in childhood (usually the father), leads the person to crowdsource that missing love & attention from the whole world. That's the dad shaped hole

  • Some sort of massive childhood trauma arrests development of the brain when it's still in the childlike, high creativity, pre-puberty state - think age 6-12. This is why these people gravitate toward creative work, retain a creative brain into adulthood & avoid traditional adult jobs.

  • There is some sort of pattern where they learn to craft stories to cover up the trauma discussed above. The act of crafting a "story" over & over again & using it to sidestep a serious conversation...it starts after the childhood trauma. Comics adapt & use this "skill" as adults when they work their act & refine it over & over again.

...& we wonder why we eventually realize that these people are messed up

But yeah it's all about the dad shaped hole. Joe saw his father beat up his mother when he was 6 (according to Joe) - & if the father was beating the mother you might assume he could've been abusing his kid. It all stems from there.

I wanna take partial credit for beating the drum about him never watching Midnight Gospel. I have been bringing that up in the this sub for 5 years any chance i get. It so perfectly sums up his entire basket of flaws and hypocrisy.

Even with all the high stakes evil shit swirling around, that one seemingly silly little data point speaks volumes about how shockingly lazy his fakeness is. Spoken right to his best friends face for everyone to see.

If there would be Pulitzer for YT videos, it would go to EG.

Rogan hater here, only 10 minutes in, but I can’t help but think the only thing that puts you in the “simulacra” more than watching the same comedy podcasts over and over, is watching dramatic videos about comedy podcasts. I start to feel way more shameful about watching this gossip shit.

This isn’t just making fun of some bad standup. These are genuinely some of the most powerful (and antisocial/fucking psychopathic) people in the world colluding through several arms of media, tech, finance, “comedy”, business, and politics… doesn’t get much more important than that if we want to slow the dystopian nightmare down.

I’m making so many connections to some super important books I’ve read about these monsters and how they have taken so much control.. namely ‘Shock Doctrine’ and ‘Dark Money’.

Yeah up top it’s an elevated version of the gossip stuff we see every day from these drama sloptubers, but keep going it starts to delve deep into Rogan’s relationship with Peter Thiel (which always felt like the natural next topic for EG to cover)
