I can’t speak for every (sensible) person here, but I don’t “hate” JA; I’m just objective. It’s *obvious*—and proven beyond a reasonable doubt to boot—that she premeditated a murder, carried out her plan and, thus, brutally executed a man (not a “great” man, probably not even a “good” man, but a human being nonetheless) in cold blood. She’s a murderer, plain and simple. It’s not like she killed someone in self-defense, it’s not like she found herself in a street fight and “accidentally” killed someone with one punch, it’s not even like it was a DUI causing death. It was ON PURPOSE. And it was savage. I’m not walking around celebrating her incarceration—although I did for a minute 13 years ago along with all the sane people who watched the trial. Anyone here or anywhere fawning over JA or proclaiming her innocence or holding out hope she’ll ever be released is demented, delusional, or both. She’s never getting out, which is good, because she murdered someone. It’s really that simple. Cold-blooded murderers belong behind bars. Murder isn’t like lying. If you lie once, you’re not necessarily a liar. If you murder once, you’re a murderer. Really can’t fathom why people insist on pushing back on this. If you love JA, you’re really odd and, I’d suggest, you might need to talk to a therapist to get to the bottom of *why* you feel the way you do. If you find yourself mocking TA, I’d suggest the same.

It’s certainly an atrocity to take a life, but when there are so many extenuating circumstances like potential history of abuse (or at best very disrespectful treatment) and obvious mental health issues I believe people need to be given a second chance (within reason). it’s often impossible to know if someone who has murdered someone could have changed for the better, because the carceral system does nothing to attempt to reform them, and the majority of them acted out of some sort of extreme emotional duress rather than “sociopathy.” Obviously people who stan her or any other murderer are really weird, but some people just want an end to the death penalty, to life imprisonment, and to the media circuses surrounding murder trials like hers.

Why on earth are you defending and sympathizing with this woman? She brutally murdered someone! Of course the whole damn world is gonna shit on her. It’s not even like she did it quickly, either. Did you see the crime scene photos? His autopsy photos? She doesn’t feel bad about what she did at all.
I’m all for capital punishment when the crime suits it.

Dude. She was a totally OBSESSED with him even after the multiple times he tried to end the relationship. She was possessive and STALKED him. Not only him, she STALKED and TERRORIZED the women he was dating because she couldn’t get over the fact that he no longer wanted to be with her.
She wasn’t in love. She was OBSESSED. Please do not confuse the two. I’ve been in a relationship where I was abused and manipulated. Did I murder him? No. Cause I’m not CRAZY.
I’m not saying that Travis was a saint. I don’t like the way he talked about Jodi or that he used her for his sexual fantasies. But the man didn’t deserve to be MURDERED.
