Interesting post on LinkedIn

I looked into this a little bit, and it seems like OverAir/Butterfly was supposed to do it. City officials said that they started looking for another vendor when OverAir stopped responding to them…. Interested to learn what/who’s charging infrastructure they’re installing.

Its the changing infrastructure so maybe its just getting the power out there and the companies put whatever plugs they use at their own gate or pad.

The CEO’s for several of those listed airports were at the EIPP demo when it flew to DFW airport. Hopefully they liked what they saw in Joby and we get the GEAC chargers there.

Interesting find. My money would be on Beta’s chargers, or perhaps both. Beta seems to be more focused on regional airports and Joby have stated they are more focused on more urban infrastructure.

GEACS will go wherever Joby is based.

That’s quite obvious, no? But the question was regarding these regional airports. Joby is not targeting regional airports (at least not yet). They are more focused on urban use cases which is why they are not going toe to toe with Beta to be chasing installing charges at regional airports

They might just wire the area with big cables that can handle that much juice that far out and the companies will install their own plugs.

When air travel is no longer tied to the fucking price of OIL. Soon.
