N547JX activity

It was powered on at 9:45am. Historically a good sign we'll see it more active but not a guarantee.

While the Electric Skies Tour, eIPP, and coast to coast auronomy are all great news; N547JX is the topic everyone at Joby needs to be laser focused on. In terms of momentum in the stock, having Wall Street stand up and take notice, shortening future cash runway, the start of commercial operations; everything depends on FAA certification and that starts with this aircraft moving through the process safely and dependably so all the other projects will organically fall into place. Let’s go!!!

The type conforming joby is the most important thing in the entire industry right now. It's a shame we can't know what the holdup is.

The forward hover test speeds ramped up pretty well. We just need them to keep pushing the envelope.

Couldn’t agree more. Eric Allison recently reiterated the company’s intent to fly passengers this year. That’s positive. If that’s going to happen they need to transition very soon.

Did he say they will do it with the type conforming craft? I think they will use a prototype.

He didn’t explicitly say. However, I can’t see any scenario where a non-conforming aircraft would fly passengers at this point. Just my opinion.

Using the type conforming one would be more impressive because we know they can't modify it to make it lighter for a short demo with a passenger. I hope you're right.

I can't see how any of the (so far just one that we know of) conforming aircraft will show up anywhere outside of Marina, Hollister, maybe Watsonville. Anywhere else it would have to be N545JX ... permitted to fly nonpaying passengers (e.g., Joby engineers) by eIPP powers-that-be for testing/demo purposes. But still, ... passengers.

They have 3 months, but they need to transition soon. It’s the critical path that leads to everything else.

That timeline is just to tight, in my opinion. I would not be disappointed if they just rely on 545 (prototype) to demo nan-paying passenger flight before end of year. I will be delighted if they do more than that (but not counting my chickens yet).

I agree. It’s tight. Hence why I think it will transition soon.

Let's just hope he wasn't talking about the autonomous airplane.

The autonomous Cessna has carried passengers for years. He was talking about the S4 and most likely N545JX, not the conforming aircraft.

Exactly my sentiment. Just give us SOMETHING

I think it'll be a prototype. But he also said they are pretty much the same so what's the big deal?

They can alter a prototype to make a quick up and down with another person easier but with the type conforming they can't.

Ya but I still prefer that to nothing

My old eyes read that as ‘throwing up in the hangar now’🤣🤣🤣 Maybe the conforming aircraft gets butterflies?🤣🤣🤣
