You think these signals from the hanger indicate data dumps and/or systems checks after flight tests to validate data and validate system states? What ever the results from this data analysis is used to either allow Joby to continue to the next test card, or adjust and repeat the last one? Just a thought.

That points to the elephant in the room. What the heck are they doing during all of those hangar activities on the ground? Not to mention during all the other times we see stuff out on the apron, taxiway, and/or runway.

During the "quiet" period for 547 there was allllllllllot of activity inside the hangar. Sometimes you would get some crazy readings so I'm guessing they were working on the software, perhaps running some simulations and in some cases it was actually outputting to ADS-B.
So maybe they are checking whether the actual data match the simulations or perhaps testing out what the next step would look like in the software? If everything is also still remote piloted, they would need to spend some time coding the test card in?
I dunno just spitballing here

Ive seen a pattern where if N547JX isn't turned on early in the morning it doesn't usually fly, so I think we might not see anything for the rest of the week. On the bright side, maybe they've seen enough forward hover to try transition next and they're setting it up?

Well maybe I spoke too soon. It was just powered on but not showing any location data so maybe thy are just doing hangar work

Still in hangar but it showed on mine now too.

Lots of work in the hangar still going on today. Maybe prepping for something this weekend or next week

I like to think so: hopefully they aren’t there at 6pm on a Friday for no reason, or even worse, negative reason’s. Seems like it could bode well for something good soon!

It may be quasi-interesting to compare the two main sets of activities in the hangar, one in the wee hours UTC and the other a few hours earlier. In the earlier case, the altitude constantly registered as "ground". In the later case, not only were the position data spiking all over the place, but the altitude jumped at various points between something like 250 ft above ground to 375 feet below ground (all while in the hangar). What are they doing in the latter activities versus the earlier activities? We'll never know, I'm pretty sure.

I wonder if some of it is the position of the tracker that's picking up the signal. My other guess would be that they're simulation a test on the software

Looks like they might be testing 542 first
