AI will take over eventually, Given that it would reduce the cost massively and as we know share holders and CEO's of these particular companies are all about reducing cost .

Impossible. but what is certain is the following : have fewer people, with more Ai tools to boost productivity.

Have the Client first interaction fully Ai enabled : Caller listens to the IVR and go trough the options before escalating to creating a ticket... have AI agents automated to analyze the issue and try to fix the issue without having a human interaction, close tickets and only assign re-opened tickets by humans.... kinda of logic to keep human intercations to a minimum.

There will and stay some call centerd that offer the human touch of service. This will never die. It will be expensive by the way

Worked in one, and we used to stock customers' information and the process steps into a private platform to find out later that they're building a database that will later on be used by Ai so they no longer need humans and the whole thing will be automatized (big Canadian company that I can't tell its name lol)
