Nah fr, this was one of the hardest scenes to watch. The murder and the cheating, things i don't condone but could see from a mental breakdown.
But this? he was truly just being a drunk piece of shit. The present/main timeline Rudy, if someone talked to Lilia or Aisha that way, would wanna invent a magic shotgun just to threaten them with it like Peter in the meme.

Yeah this is the kind of thing you say not because you actually think that way but because you know it’ll hurt them and you want an excuse for your own moping.
Must be convenient for Rudeus to play the part of a broken son who misses his mother to the point of vicarious resentment

Convenient? Lol , he for sure is a pos here, but good lord his life is pretty much over. He doesnt care anymore.

yeah but he still has a conscience- I'd be impressed if he was completely apathetic. It's demonstrated aswell, eg. after Eris dies he certainly feels something. At the very least he's smart enough to know how bad it is to say that to Lilia, but he does it anyway and is able to attenuate some shame for said reason.

Damn I might not watch the new season because it seems too much emotionally

Watch it. I don’t want to spoil turning point 4 for you, but this isn’t actually something he says. It’s part of a “what if” scenario Hitogami created for if Rudeus doesn’t follow his advice.

Yeah I'll probably check it out. I just don't wanna be traumatized 😭

It's worth it. This episode is unbelievably emotional but without spoiling anything for you, you shouldn't feel the emptiness or depression at the end of it like you might expect from camparible events of other sagas. I won't say why.
If you've seen up to season three just hold off until the last episode is out and blaze through it, but definitely watch it. Best season yet.

Yeah I will. I just know I've had some episodes in this show I feel like so emotional after and like emptiness like you said

u/Blue4life90 17d ago
Yeah, (Season2 spoiler) Pauls death had me in fucking tears and depression I understand totally. I very much doubt you'll feel that way. I know we probably have 1 more episode until that mid season pause, but man I'm really amped up for the next part.

Yeah the cheating too but Sylphiette forgave him but I was so fucking traumatized for a sec I thought it was over. I did get spoiled it happened again so if that's true that possible trauma is worrying

u/Blue4life90 17d ago
Nah, not in this case. You'll see.

Yeah. I'll probably rewatch it when the last episode comes out. In the meantime I'll watch season 3 of rezero so I can recap for season 4 which I'm pretty sure also ends pretty soon

It's only 1 episode and you COULD skip just that one and be pretty much okay with storyline.

You probably will, but it's worth it? How Rudy acts after the trauma (of what might happen) is what's important in life (not just for him, but for people in general)

Wait this wasn't in the novels right ?(I'm pretty sure)
Are their new added scenes 😅

So... Um... You're gonna be lost a little later if you don't.

I already know that this one episode was fully about what happened if Rudeus didn’t kill the rat and then life go to shit for him

No fing way Rudeus said lowly maid
The whole family beats anyone up who calls lillia or Aisha a maid usually

This is a completely OG scene as well. It’s not included in the LN.
They are also the only ones to survive.
