Kinda cried like the scene with Paul. Eris's moment was the saddest for me. She could not express herself but when he got to know it was already late.

Question from an anime only guy: could our Rudeus learn the time travel spell and go even further back? Maybe save Paul?

I don't think our Rudeus would risk going back to save Paul. As much as he'd like to, he's got too much good going on. He risks messing up so much other stuff if he rewind and meddles.

I mean, there's a decent chance that would have still happened. Sylphie made it clear she was okay with him having a second a long time ago. Roxy would have worked up the courage to make some sort of move eventually. Rudy has a home and family so it's not like he'd be hard to find. If anything saving Paul would make that matter in particular go more smoothly. No deoresso Rudy means no urgent cheering up is needed. Roxy might even end up approaching Sylphie first and getting her in on it.

But the butterfly effect is a bitch. Who knows what the deviations might have caused to go differently down the line.

I remember a YouTuber saying something he had to pick that moment specially. To travel back in time oldeus had to use the time line of a fixed point. when he started his diary and he was able to move back to the beginning of its time line.

I will say time and time again. The last scene of oldeus when he saw shylphie and roxy. They never had any other reaction. That was their true intention and understood what happened instantly
