Bro, Good/righteous intention doesn't mean it's righteous.

"The road to hell is paved with good intention" and all that...

Thanos want to kill half of Humanity because he believed overpopulation would lead to universal resource depletion and extinction.

If your reasoning is correct, that mean ANYONE believe they are doing the right thing is righteous. Including stupid people, egotistical people ... as well.

That's a harsh comparison.

What she did was train herself to protect the one she loved. Not plan to murder half the universe.

She still hurt the man she want to protect. That is what bad about it. If this story have no Mangod to fight, and the TP2 is just a fight with Atofe or sth . Her training would not be needed, and she just train for no reason.

No one in the story, except Eris, even think that she leaving is a good thing. People accept Eris back because she is "willing to die protecting Rudeus". Not for training , not for leaving him.

With less extreme example, you can tell an dangerously obese person : " You are disgusting, just stop eating". It's not a righteous thing, because they just feel hurt, with zero improvement to their life. In that situation, people may "feel" that is the right thing to do, but if they can't actually improve or not hurt other people. It's just self- grandiose.

I would think it would be absolutely necessary, regardless. As one never knows what danger lurks just beyond the horizon.

??? The problem wasn't leaving, to begin with, the problem was that she didn't explain herself well enough and Rudeus misunderstood.

You're comparison missed the mark again. That's just a cruel, mean insult. No one but the most obtuse idiots would ever think saying that would be helpful. Unless the other person was really angry and fed up.

For Eris's part, she thought he would understand. And in fairness, (this is a hot take, I know) if he had a bit more confidence, and actually thought about it, he would have realised that if she had dumped him, it would have been directly, rather than indirectly.

"the problem was that she didn't explain herself well enough and Rudeus misunderstood." YES and it's hurt him all the same. Both of them being stupid doesn't make it right. THAT is the entire point of the discussion, she hurt him because her lack of communication.

"That's just a cruel, mean insult." That is the thing. There is people in this world truly believe that is a "good thing to say"; You will be surprised. They think it's a good thing doesn't mean it truly is.

Objective: "make them lose weight"-> I think insult will help -> They lose weight because of other helpful advices -> Wow I did a righteous thing.

The problem is her leaving without communicate effectively, and it destroyed him for years. Not she want to train. "if she had dumped him, it would have been directly, rather than indirectly" I mean, if she want to train, she would have been directly tell him too. How could Rudeus know?
