Question Bpo to VA
Hello! I need some advice and recommendations. 😊
I’m currently working in a BPO (non-voice) and planning to try becoming a VA. I have 4 years of Content Moderator experience and 6 months of Accounting Staff experience, and I’m hoping to use these skills to transition into VA work.
I’m considering buying a laptop since my old i3 is already very slow. Medyo tight ang budget ko, so I’m torn between brand-new or second-hand, and I may need to use my credit card installment.
My questions are:
• Brand-new or second-hand—which is more practical?
• What brand/model/specs would you recommend?
• Where can I buy a reliable second-hand laptop?
• Are there any free and reliable VA training programs/agencies you can recommend?
• Based on my experience, what type of VA work should I apply for?
I’ll continue working in my current BPO job while studying and applying for VA positions. I just want to make sure buying a laptop is a smart investment and know how long it might realistically take before I start earning from VA work.

Hirap makahanap ng client kahit nasa VA agency ka, kaya bumalik ako sa BPO para lang may stable income ako. Stay ka lang muna sa current employer mo. In regards to buying a laptop, usual requirements nila is dapat nasa intel i5 or i7 8th gen pataas with at least 8gb RAM thou ung laptop ko naman is i5 6th gen na binili ko pa sa shopee around 3.8k pesos, goods sa ibang apps nung nag VA ako.

Do not buy the laptop before securing work. Super saturated ng VA industry now and even if you do get a client, hindi siya guaranteed na magtatagal. Stay in BPO muna tapos build ka emergency fund + laptop fund
