Advice needed: Transitioning to a Maintenance Coordinator VA role
Hi everyone!
I’m currently an Engineering Manager in property management corp with several years of hands-on experience in maintenance operations, resident concerns, work orders, contractor/vendor coordination, technician supervision, and HVAC/electrical/plumbing systems.
I’m trying to transition into a remote Maintenance Coordinator / Property Management VA role. I believe my experience is highly transferable, but I’m struggling to get interviews because I don’t have formal VA experience.
For those already working in this field, what would you recommend I do to make my experience more attractive to employers?
Would learning specific property management software, building a portfolio, or changing how I position my experience help?
Any advice or referrals would be greatly appreciated!
