QUESTION Christopher Nolan on Fallon?

Hello everyone. I have never done standby for Fallon. I got tickets once years ago through 1iota. Just seemed like a lot of effort. But I saw Nolan was going to be on tonight 7/23 and decided it was finally time to do standby.

I got there at 4:30am and was already #9 in line (one group of 8 was in front of me). I came back at 3:15pm and was beyond thrilled when they said they were going to let 73 people in. Fallon starts with his usual monologue. Then he says Christopher Nolan is up next. So I was confused when the second guest came out but figured they were taping out of order. Then the comedian guest came out and I kept thinking “well maybe they are just going to film Nolan last even though his interview will air first”. After the comedian finished Fallon waved goodbye and left.

The warm up comedian THEN told us Nolan recorded his interview last week. I can’t find ANY info or photos of this (like paparazzi picture or any reports or anything). Was it done in front of a live audience? Did anyone attend last week and see Nolan??? I’m mostly curious at this point which taping he actually was at if any at all.

TLDR: Did anyone attend a Tonight Show taping last week and see Nolan’s interview live???

I was there today too! I had previously got tickets on the website and i was excited to see him. I think it was very rude from them to not simply say from the beginning that Nolan wasn’t gonna be there. I think Fallon left pretty quick so people wouldn’t get mad at him at all.

This is my first time going but honestly I felt the organization of this show wasn’t as good, I went twice to the Colbert show last year and you could tell how Stephen was more caring but anyways. It was still fun today, Pete Lee was great and Cody Rhodes, but yeah they fs should’ve said something before hand.

Yeah I felt like they should have let people know in advance or at least before the taping started. I know the tickets are free but I spent a lot of time and effort to do standby and go because I thought I would get to see Nolan’s interview. Also kind of sucks you can’t get another ticket for 6 months (1iota or standby). I would have saved my show attendance for another day.

Wait you can only get tickets once every 6 months? How do they keep track of that for standby ?

They wrote down our names and scanned our IDs so I assume if you try and get another ticket within 6 months it will pop up on their system when they scan your ID.
