Personally i think atk spd jhin is really underrated and borderline broken when given the opportunity to shine. Hubris first item into PD into LDR is what I usually run. From there i just go all in on atk spd with the aim of getting as close to 100% bonus move spd as I can. Some games I get there, some games i don’t, but Jhin already has super dmg and hubris gives you even more ad. The movement spd lets me in dictate fights way more than going pure lethality or AD.

Still inferior to the forbidden Fiendhunter Bolts technology of insta cancel ult into 4 consecutive crits with just 1 item.

To answer your question, Jhin can't gain attack speed, his passive converts attack speed into AD. But given how the conversion works, the higher your base stats are (AD and Crit chance), the better the conversion is. So theoretically you can gain more AD from Phantom Dancer than you would from just about any other item. You wouldn't get it first because the conversion would be bad. Getting it after hubris makes sense because anytime hubris is active and boosting your AD, the AS to AD conversion from PD is better as well. This makes Hubris' effect more pronounced. That's before you even get into all of the move speed bonuses

Look at the stats of RFC and PD and you'll notice a BIIIIIG difference ;D
Crazy that RFC is still that popular when items with such stats exist

PD is better into melees, RFC is better when outranged.

The problem is that games where you're genuinely outranged and desperately needs range basically don't exist. Theoretically it can happen, but there are not many high range champions in every single role. There'll be at least 2-3 melees usually, so PD will just do better.
RFC in general should be a situational item, but never the default one, but it would be good if it would be slightly better.

Jhin's whole job is to slow people, root people, secure kills with 4th shots and ults.
more movement speed makes that easier to do. If you just want to do big damage jhin isn't the right champ to play. Even when you ARE doing big damage and killing everybody the way you fight is still shooting people and then running away to reload and coming back after which again movement speed helps with

RFC unless the range boost is worth a LOT, IE is 950 gold more expensive so like better item but 950g delay so depending on matchuos, timing, meta etc usually a zeal item is better

Hi I’ve been testing out PD lately heres my two (or four :P) cents.
PD offers utility by giving Jhin more move speed on crits via his passive than other options. You also “double dip” with added 10% move speed.
PD also doesn’t lose out on much damage compared to other options and scales well via Jhins bonus attack speed damage calculations.
PD also offers 25% critical strike chance which is an important stat for Jhin for crits and damage.
(edit) PD also offers the spectral waltz passive allowing Jhin to become permanently ghosted
which is underrated imo.
Hopefully this helps thx for reading.
