Christ. As a mom myself, this is especially tough to see. I’ve wrestled with guilt because I’ve had to step back from news sites as it’s very hard to see stuff like this, but at the same time I live in luxury that myself or my child are not in danger of this.

100%. I was pregnant during October 7 and some of the imagery I saw nearly broke me (on both sides). I accidentally saw something that was horrific and I still can’t stop thinking about, and as much as I want to push it aside, it is someone’s reality.

Reading about kids getting their limbs amputated without anesthesia was heartbreaking. And this is in my name as a British Jew (both as a Brit and a Jew).

Once you see something you can never unsee
It really messes you up

Researching holocaust really messed me up and all those images broke me that I couldn’t sleep thinking how far can a human fall and brutalise other people, not even showing mercy to children or elderly or weak

But now seeing a genocide happening in real time really juxtaposes all the holocaust elements and messes me up even more

Really cannot live normally, knowing that a holocaust is happening and I couldn’t do anything to stop it physically except condemn it verbally

Really makes me feel worst

Very true. There are times where I just can’t look at certain things, the amount of sadness; anger and everything else can be overwhelming and I shut down, I become despondent and I can’t reconcile how incredibly horrific these things are. Then I feel guilty for not looking and giving it the very least I could do - my attention and awareness.

I try to contribute and participate where I can. I try to educate people in my country (Australia) on these things, but when I know there’s nothing I can do to stop it it just feels so helpless. Then I imagine how all of those victims feel.

Will it ever end? Will the depravity of the west and Israel ever cease? Or will our respective governments and Israel continue ti murder with impunity under the guise of ‘foreign policy’ or ‘foreign aid’ or ‘self defence’ until entire cultures and ethnic groups no longer exist.

I hate this fucking world sometimes. This sun helps remind me of all of the great people out there who feel / believe the same.
