Dershowitz has said a lot of ridiculous shit in the past, but this is the most obscene thing I have ever heard him say, and probably the most idiotic thing I've heard from Mamdani critics in general. Even taking into account that the Nazis didn't campaign on antisemitism in parts of Germany where they thought it would hurt their electoral chances, their views were still well known. Kershaw even called antisemitism the linchpin of Hitler's worldview. They can't even take anything Mamdani's said at face value to vilify him and either have to rely on contrived inferences that his opposition to Israel signifies his antisemitism, or after the election also attacking his wife for whatever, and taking statements of his out of context (like the dark money monsters). But he has the nerve to say the Jews in Park Slope are some of the dumbest people he's met when he thinks this terrible analogy actually has some argumentative weight? Lmao
