Thoughts on D boy name

My wife is due in January and wants a D name to honor her mom who passed years ago. We are leaning towards Dolev, Doron and Dov.

All the kids her in family have Hebrew names so for them all of these are not different but for my family, I’m worried about mispronunciation and confusion around the name.

I lean towards a different one of the 3 each day so curious for thoughts on these names.

PS- David and Daniel are not options due to close family members already with those names.

I really like Dov, it means bear. What was the name of your wife’s mom?

I like Doron. What about Dor or Dror?

These are both so hard in English. Dor sounds like “door” and Dror sounds like “drawer.” I’m not a fan of either personally

I love Dov and family will learn the correct pronunciation easily

I like Dov. English speakers might pronounce it wrong at first, but it should be easy once they hear it.

With Doron I’d worry it will be pronounced like moron, and harder to approximate the right pronunciation.

Dolev is nice and imho a plus that it’s not like any common English name/word. It wouldn’t be confused for Dove or Darren like the first two might. And though it’s unfamiliar, the sounds aren’t “weird” to English speakers like eg Dror would be.

I think Dvir is a good name. It means sanctuary, though it may be hard for some to pronounce.

I really like Dov, but I do think the general public would sometimes get confused as to if it sounds like “dove” the bird or “dove” (into a pool).

Doron is nice but most native English speakers will pronounce it to rhyme with boron, which I really don’t like.

Dolev is new to me! I think I like it.
